On 4/24/24 I called Pegram Insurance to obtain renters insurance. I told the lady that i spoke with (**********************) that I wanted to purchase renters insurance with a 5/1/24 effective date, as that is the date that I move into my apartment. She told me that I needed to pay a deposit of $96.34. I paid the deposit, then, she sent me the Non-refundable Deposit Policy to sign AFTER I had already paid the deposit. She did not tell me it was non-refundable when i paid it. The document was filled with inaccurate information, stating this was for an auto policy, not a renters policy. It also stated that the $96.34 included the first initial payment for the policy. On 4/26/24, there was a charge from Progressive Insurance for $31.39. I called Pegram on 4/27/24 (when I saw the posted charge to my account) to find out if they were affiliated with Progressive **** India never told me who my insurance was through). When I called on 4/27/24, I spoke with **********************. She didnt explain the $31.39 charge, but she sent me the payment schedule to show me why I was charged this. One request that i had was to change the effective date. She placed me on hold for about 15 minutes to call Progressive before hanging up on me. I called back and the lady from customer service reached out to her. ****************** texted me that Progressive was closed so the effective date couldnt be changed until Monday. I told her I did have additional questions and i would like to speak further on the phone. She told me she would call me in 15 mins. I waited about an hour and a half and never received a call back. I reached back out to speak to a manager, but was told there wouldnt be one there until Monday. At this point, I just want my policy cancelled and my money back - $96.34 from Pegram, and $31.39 from Progressive, which I assume would be refunded with the cancellation of the policy. It is obvious that this company does not know what it is doing and cant provide accurate information.

I have attached the refunded amount war on our terminal. It was processed as a void. I have also attached a copy of the cancellation request for her to sign. That way any monies from Progressive can be returned as well.
