    My complaint is concerns unfair business tactic, for credits toward taking a bar review course, and deduction of a previous cheaper bar review course I took. A customer service representative I interacted with by e-mail initially promised they would deduce the fees from the previous bar review Cours,e provided that I proof I sat for the bar exam I took the course for. I submitted a screenshot of proof I failed, the admission ticket, and proof I even sat for the bar exam by PDF. However, they simply refuse to accept any proof I sat for the bar exam I took their July 2023 course for. When I asked an example of just what kind of "letter" they would accept, **** ignored my inquiries and cut off all communication. This really amounts to reneging on their promise to really have any chance of deducting any fees toward the cheaper bar review course, and really defrauding my of $474, as I really have no chance to show proof, in spite of all the screenshots and proof I sat for the exam I took their cheaper bar review course for!

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Ois time-stamped to November 9, 2023, the day I received the fail result for the July 2023 bar exam in which I sat for, as shown on the top of the screenshot. I only attached a screenshot, because for one that was the only thing the CA Bar gives, and for a limited time before they delete the results from the applicant portal. The top of the screenshot (image0-2) shows the date in which it was time stamped, November 9th 2023. And at the bottom lists the result for myself. 

    I don't know how there can be a doubt I failed the exam, and wonder why the Quimbee representative is making it so difficult for me to use the credits in which I purchased their "basic" bar review product to an unlimited/ "Quimbee Plus" Bar review, after denying me a refund.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I do not recall receiving a survey from quimbee on how I did for the bar, and cannot find any such email on my in a search query. 

    As I have mentioned; since the state bar results only appear temporarily; the time-stamp on the camera the day I opened it, November 9th, 2023, the day the bar results for the July 2023 bar were released, was really the only thing I can do. I have no guarantee the State Bar will even take the trouble to even send me a letter saying I failed their July 2023 bar. 

    I hope you understand how frustrating this is on my end of how unnecessarily difficult Quimbee has made it to even gain access to a course I paid for for the simple goal of using it to study another bar exam, and thus, which I make this complaint to warn others in the same predicament!

    On 4/23/24 I signed up for a free 7 day trial and I cancelled before the 7 days and Quimbee charged me $249 for a whole year which I did not agree to so I cancelled the subscription. Quimbee refused to refund me the amount and told me if I want to reactivate my I would have to pay the full amount once again. Quimbee said as a courtesy they would refund me $51 out of the $249 taken from my account. I have reached out to Quimbee asking for a full refund, which they denied. They stated if I reinstate my account, I will be charged for another $249, otherwise my account remains canceled.

    I was an employee of the City of ABQ in Nov 2022 when I first set up a continuing education account with a payment from a city business credit card. I am no longer with the City of ABQ. Quimbee billed $199 for a renewal to the City's credit card on Nov 30, 2023 for services to be rendered from Nov 2023 to Nov ****. the City and I both reached out to their customer service email and I provided updated billing information, and asked Quimbee to refund the City and bill me instead. Quimbee did not have a customer service phone line. **********************'s representative (****) via email, provided a $100 partial refund to the City, but refused to fully refund the City and charge me instead, claiming "this is not something we do."I am baffled why Quimbee's own representative insisted on leaving Quimbee itself short the $100 that it refunded as well as short changing ****** by $99, while refusing my attempt to pay the full $199 to Quimbee for the Nov 30 invoice (EA2BD048-0003). I am trying to pay Quimbee and all we need is for Quimbee to bill the correct credit card and refund to the card incorrectly charged so as not to mis-use *** taxpayer funds.

    I have been trying to cancel my membership since 2019 ! I have sent numerous emails about cancellation and never received a response. They have collected a total of amount 700 dollars for a service I have not used. I think it should be criminal for a company to operate with email and bot being the only means of communication.

    Thanks for sharing this complaint with us. Quimbee provides support via live chat and email, and users are able to reach out to us anytime (if it's after business hours, we'll still receive the message and respond the next business day). Users are also able to cancel a subscription anytime from their account settings page.

    I found this user's account and canceled it immediately. We had no prior record of this user reaching out to us, nor had an attempt been made through our system to cancel the subscription.

    I have also refunded the past six months of payments as a courtesy, although our Terms of Service state that payments are nonrefundable.
