We sold the house unexpectedly in one week and had to move out fast thanks to the Atlant company it happened smooth and fast. They came 30 min earlier and inspected the furniture and the house so they keep everything protected. Very nice crew of guys and very customer oriented. Honestly didnt expect much, but Atlant Moving 1987 completely blew me away. The long distance movers were awesome wrapped everything carefully and even helped with a few things they didnt have to. 1 starBeware! They employ bait and switch tactics, are not professional movers. It has taken me months to calm down after how poorly we and our belongings were treated. From my first call, the salesman was very nice and submitted my request for 2 x 26' foot trucks or a single 52' truck. I told him we had a very large home that was full due to our belongings and our inherited family belongings. I even sent a list of all our large furniture items to demonstrate the scale. I knew what we needed. The "manager" then calls and tells me I can't possibly need two trucks, so she changes my order, but again tells me if I need two trucks I will get it for the price quoted. On pick up day they arrive in an Enterprise rental truck (single) and with contracted labor - no employees. Our furniture was not wrapped, mattresses were not placed in plastic and of course they could not fit everything in one truck. They had to rent a second truck and the "*******" (Owner of Atlant) said he would call his manager and work out a deal on the price for the second truck. The manager is his WIFE. So now the bait and switch comes - I have to pay for a second truck or my already packed items will be held hostage. When my items arrived (4 hour in-state move) EVERY piece of furniture has scratches or was broken. They knew they broke the wood casters off an antique cabinet but said nothing and didn't care. Almost every box that had breakables had something broken. I also have several boxes of items that are just missing and never arrived. They gave up and didn't do a complete inventory when packing and when unpacking they didn't want to wait while we marked off boxes. This is not how professional movers work. They used torn up quilts that reeked of cat urine to place between a few pieces of furniture. I have been so mad and upset that is has taken me months to calm down enough to right a proper review. They are unprofessional and unethical. Buyer Beware!
