Advance Painting lied about the sservices they provided and covered up unpainted items. ***** sold the services, hardly wanted to ever communicate with me again, the painter did not do the fll job, and ****** demanded to collect the money. The painter called me within a day to day he was done. I kept going back every single day to show him all the spots he didnt do. Instead of painting all the trim, he touched up the spots that were dirty, leaving a huge contrast, and said he painted all the trim. I was showing him my original paint job from 6 years ago to show him that he was lying. Instead of painting the closets, he painted what you could see in front of you when you opened the closets, so that he could fool you if you didnt actually look all the way inside. I was forced into approving the job so they could close out and move onto the next job.THEY DID NOT EVEN USE THE ***** PAINT IN THE BATHROOMS.There was also paint left on my light fixtures, on my appliances, on my wall plates, on my shelves and even on my front door, which I now have to touch up by myself. The washing machine and some closet fixtures are permanently damaged from the paint on them.

We have reviewed the complaint and while some of the claims made by the customer were true during the process at no point in time was he forced into paying for the job.  Our contract states that we do not take money until the job is complete and the customer is satisfied therefore, no payment would have been submitted until the customer was happy with the work.  Since completion of the job the customer has made zero attempts to contact our office to rectify any problems, as our work is guaranteed.  We are reaching out to the customer to rectify any remaining issues.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. The business is not being honest that they were willing to wait to address all problems. I insisted at the time that the painter needed to paint the bathrooms in satin/eggshell. He lied to me and told me that he did. I insisted that he had to have all trim painted. He continued to lie to me and tell me that he did, even though I continuously found additional unpainted areas.

    2. The representative on the phone along with the painter continued to insist that I pay for the job to close it out because the job was starting to drag on over a week, even though it was not complete as per the requirements.

    3. The business has NOT ever reached out to me outside of this forum.

Subject: Complaint Against Advance Painting and Roofing ********* , ** I am writing to formally file a complaint against Advance Painting and Roofing. My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing, and I believe it is essential to bring my concerns to your attention.I engaged the services of Advance Painting and Roofing for a painting job on my property, which was initially estimated at $2,382. I promptly paid the full amount without hesitation based on the estimate provided. However, upon the completion of the job, I discovered numerous issues that left me dissatisfied with the service provided. The problems I encountered included:Subpar Workmanship: The painting job carried out by Advance Painting and Roofing was of subpar quality. Paint splatters were evident throughout the exterior of my home, including on window *****, the sides of the house, and various other surfaces. The result was a sloppy and unprofessional appearance.Damage to Property: In addition to the poor paint job, the crew also caused damage to my property. My umbrella on the deck was marred with paint splatters, and my small BBQ grill was pushed and subsequently broken during the course of their work.Uncooperative Response: I attempted to resolve the issues by reaching out to the company several times to request an evaluation and rectification of the situation. I made it clear that I was not seeking a refund but only wanted satisfaction for the work I had paid for. Unfortunately, I encountered a lack of cooperation and responsiveness from the company.Denial of Responsibility: To my disbelief, when the company eventually sent someone out to evaluate the work, it turned out to be the very individuals who had performed the substandard work. They denied any wrongdoing and even claimed that the paint splatters were caused by old paint, which was far from the truth.Poor ***************** Despite my persistent efforts to communicate with the company, I received no satisfactory response or resolution to the problems I encountered. This has left me deeply dissatisfied with their customer service and their lack of respect for the customer.I am filing this complaint with the hope that the Better Business Bureau can assist in addressing these issues and mediating a resolution between me and Advance Painting and Roofing. I want to caution other consumers to exercise caution when considering this company for their services, as my experience has demonstrated a lack of professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction.I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your assistance in resolving these concerns. Please feel free to contact me at [Your Phone Number] or [Your Email Address] if you require any additional information or clarification.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.Sincerely,*************************

Upon initial conversations with the consumer after the work was completed he had only informed us of paint drips/spatter on brick and the umbrella.  There was no mention of subpar workmanship in these conversations.  We had sent the crew back out to clean up drips and spatters that were caused by us.  After the crews inspection it was brought to managements attention that a vast majority of the drips and spatters were from previous paint jobs of which we have photos of before the job started.  On December 21st we communicated with the consumer that management could be out January 4th to review any issues and come to a resolve.  This was the soonest availability for an appointment as our office is closed annually from December 22nd to January 2nd to allow our employees time with their families through the holidays.  On December 23rd the consumer sent an email confirmation of our upcoming appointment expressing no concern over any other issues.  Attached is a copy of that correspondence.  Our office has maintained communication with the consumer through the process and expressed full liability for damages our company may have caused.
