    I used ClearDefesne pest control for pest services for over a year. At the time I agreed to 7 monthly treatments and quarterly treatments that were paid in full each time. When I went to cancel the service the company claimed that I had accrued payments and would need to pay $321 in full. Even though the services never took care of the issue. When I agree to the services it was not disclosed that the full services -however, they offered a free service in the value of the disputed amounted- which makes no sense.

    Thank you to the BBB for allowing us the opportunity to help resolve this issue. 

    The customer called the office to originally update their automatic payment information and then decided to discontinue service due to mosquito issues. At that time, we informed them that we could discontinue the service or send someone out to take care of the problem. He desired to cancel still and we mentioned the balance on the account for services that were completed.

    The reason for the balance is due to them opting to be billed monthly as opposed to paying each service in full after it's completion. The balance from the service is then stretched out monthly and payed over the year. Because he was choosing to cancel, we simply asked to be paid for services completed. We tried to explain this to the customer but instead it turned into our staff being cussed at and he threatened to slander us in the neighborhood and online. 

    His claim of us offering a free service is correct. The free service he mentions is part of his mosquito warranty. We offered it because he was mentioning mosquito issues. ClearDefense Pest Control warranties its work. We were simply offering to help by doing a no charge re-treatment.

    The customer agreed to not slander us or post bad reviews online if we just canceled the service and charged him nothing. We performed the work and were kind, yet somehow we are deserving of being cussed out and slandered online and to his neighbors.
