      My dad passed away unexpectedly in his apartment on March 26. From that moment on, we werent treated like a grieving family we were treated like a problem.Just hours after the coroner left, the property manager arrived with no condolences and said, Yall gotta get out. The locks were changed almost immediately the first of two times.Fitch Irick wouldnt let us retrieve anything without an executor being appointed, claiming there could be unknown children who might sue. My sister-in-law took a few clothes for the funeral, and we were told we were being watched on camera and they werent happy.We asked for photo albums for the service. No one followed up. I visited the office several times and was ignored. A sign said the office would be closed for training until April 4 it was removed early, but we were still ignored.We moved my dads car. The manager told another tenant shed call the police. We called ****** **, who confirmed we had every right as next of kin.Out of desperation, I reached out to corporate on ********. Only Mrs. ****** responded kindly. Maintenance helped get the albums, but the locks had been changed again and he had to **** for the key.We paid over $1,200 for April rent just to keep his belongings safe even though we couldnt access the unit. After my May 1 probate appointment, I called again. I had to push to finally be let in.The apartment was a mess: nails, scrap metal, and trash were everywhere even nails in my dads shoes. I stepped on one. Would they leave a unit like that for a living tenant?We cleaned and returned the keys on May 5. Today, we got a bill for May 15 rent plus a late fee already sent to collections for $18.76.If my dad had died anywhere else, wed have had access to his belongings from day one. Please reconsider renting from Fitch Irick. No grieving family should be treated this way. This review is for the property ************** Terrace in ******, **.

      This review is based solely off of living at one of their rental properties named, Cananche Creek. Where to begin? Site managers always awful and/or poorly trained. The apartments at the site aren't properly managed, causing issue upon issue to occur. They are government assisted and supposed to pay 30% of your income but somehow I was only paying 16% whenever my Wife and I first moved in, but suddenly when my wife gets a job as a waitress, we had to suddenly start paying 30%. And, whenever I lost my income for a few months, we still had to pay 30% of our household income even after adding 2 children to our lease. We're having issues with our tub leaking down onto the tenant downstairs, after we've taken a shower that they're currently trying to evict us over if WE don't fix the issue with the tub. I even have holes in my walls that was reported over 1 year ago that still haven't been touched. The drain pan to the furnace fills up with water anytime we run the ** and even when the heat is on, moisture still manages to get into the drain pan overnight. The air vents constantly have a black substance that leaks from them when the ** is used. They had took up the old carpet and put down laminate flooring and the trim between the living room and dining room ended up pryi g the nails out of the floor and the trim worked itself up from the floor. If an inspector did a once over of this apartment, it definitely wouldn't meet the requirements to be HUD ready, just as all properties are supposed to be whenever they're HUD approved/government assisted.

      I have been trying to get maintenance done for months no one never in the office. Call corporate no one could ever call back. They have a tow truck company that takes people cars after 8pm if you dont have a parking sticker. We pay rent cant have visitors because of this which is not fair to us that pay rent. They treat us like babies not adults. We can only get one pass for a visitor. Its like they monitor everything. Why do we need a curfew? This is very sad. I am very depressed living here now because all the changes thats going on.

      Im located in westridge apartments in Greenville sc. owned by Gem Management Ive been telling different people thats In and out of that office I been over paying so long on water and now they been putting the sewer over the amount also been telling workers here for almost a year about this running toilet. They just put a water amount there is no meter.They giving so many different *********** and access to our apartments that we dont even know,Had a little kid come here last walking in my apartment with a key never seen her before came in walking into my bathroom opening the bathroom door while someone was in there. The voicemail is always full. I got a letter on my door to come sign a lease and I refuse to sign another lease because I signed one already. I go to the office to see the girl they finally have in there she comes when she want she always got the sign closed and strangers in the office around our personal information she bringing babies to work she got mad at me because I wrote a complaint that she happen to read and called the cops saying I was being irate when I was trying to get her boss number and let her know she was not in this office and I have a tear in my knee I cant keep coming back in forth because you come and go as you please. The cops actually suggested that I come on this site and tell what happened. all these people moving out without paying and they want to raise our bills to pay what they left Ive been over paying for the longest Im not paying this high water bill it still not corrected Ive been telling so many people about this water and this toilet for the longest which they always wind up gone. We got people stealing now and going under outside rugs trying to locate a key. Its hard to reach Gem Management they never get back to you. The office girl lies and say those different people with keys wasnt there but I have a camera and I actually communicated with the people I didnt know but she still kept lying. This is crazy

      I am currently residing at ********** Terrace Apartments in ********** ** but not for long!One of the tenants here has allowed vagrants to gain access to the roof top of our bldg and there is constant fighting drug use and drinking going on up there. You hear women hollering get off me and STOP NO. The police have been called out but by the time they get here they either have left or stay quiet until they leave. In which afterwards we are threatened that they are gonna KILL US! The *************** has also been notified on numerous occasions and nothing has been done to rectified this dangerous matter! We were told to try and record these things happening by the police officers but its not easy to do this without accessing the roof top! I personally sent an email to the management team headquarters recently haven't received a response as of yet!

      If anyone living at the GEM Management property in ******** ** called ****** Village Apts beware that site manager ********************* has been caught not once but twice by me throwing resident's personal and sensitive information such as woman in protective hiding from her husband and social Security numbers and bank accounts numbers after i brought this to her attention she proceeded to call police and trespass me from property. ********************* returned to my apartment and without knocking on my door entered into my house and told police she had the authority to go into anyone apartment at will ..also we in the past 4 years have had our lease changed at least 6 times because of rent increases and I am not the only victims

      Hi, I rented an apartment from Brooke Pointe Apartment Homes from May 2014- March 2021 with my 5 children and was very please until ***************, and Ms ***** left from there it went downhill the maintenance request became very intolerable and the high turnover of property managers were scarce. However I did not want to come to the BBB to get a response but No one is returning my calls or emails. March 2021 i decided to put in my 30 day notice, cleaned apartment and ect. Then May 31, 2021 I received a notice on my credit report of $1,900 being charged from Creditor which is Bookepointe Apartments. I have tried reaching the property manager **** who told me she do not even know if they have my file, ************************* who told me she would retrieve my file from property and research the situation this was *** 3,2023 and she said that she will follow up with me 1/13/2023 . No call, no emails I have been calling for a 1yr and 8 months, I also spoke with *********************** who stated that *************** is the Boss of **** and **** has been there a year and still no answers on this charged amount to my credit. No call backs. I did inquire about the charges and they stated that they had to upgrade the property appliances to stainless steel, and replace the carpet and repaint the walls (That is normal wear and tare) After 7 1/2 in any apartment with children. I was told that was the charged the fees to my credit report but no one called me beforehand to tell me anything. No-one has told me anything when I call everyone states they will call back . This is preventing me from getting a home I cannot move anywhere because its showing on my rental screening I owe these apartment fees and No one is replying or responding its going on a Year and half. I was a great tenant loved my home treated as if it was my own but I need someone to contact me asap. Leaving a Review is not what I want to do but I need answers!

      Currently being evicted because the landlord feels I violated my lease. When I brought them evidence they said it wasn't acceptable. Now I have to fight my case in court.
