      I was over charged for flooring mitigation from flooding into my condo. The owner of this company threaten me to pay the invoice that was much higher than the insurance company says the service should have been. Nationwide claims $1,800 should have covered the mitigation, and **** charged me $13,000. This has held up funding to install new floors. I have gone 2 months living on concrete floors that are making me sick. ********** had an outside company do an audit and came away with the $1,800 figure. The insurance company approved mitigation and **** decided to demo the entire condo hardwoood floors. They had 2 guys here for one day and three guys the next day. A two day job with out any specialized equipment for $13,000. I have asked **** for a partial refund that is closer to the insurance company amount. This appears to me to be clear price gouging. My mistake was paying the bill. I was concerned about personal harm, harm to my property and a lien being placed on my property. I am asking for assistance with receiving a partial refund of 50% to 60% of the amount I was charged.

      Upon receipt of this notice, I promptly compiled all relevant documentation concerning this case and forwarded it to our legal team for review. The complaint contains numerous defamatory allegations, which are not only unfounded but constitute an attempt at extortion. We categorically reject such tactics and will not acquiesce to unjustified refund demands. Our legal counsel will be in contact with Mr. ******* in due course to address this matter appropriately.

      I am rejecting this response because:  my insurance company and their outside auditor both have made it clear that **** over charged me by a wide margin.  I am still requesting a partial refund.
