      We were on a road trip and booked a room through Expedia.com. The description of the accommodations was that it was a resort with cabins. They claimed to have a spa, sauna, hot tub, ... The cost for this was ******. When we arrived - there was not a resort - there was a cabin on the side of a road in a very depressed area. WE had contacted the property on our way to say we would not arrive until after 6. They sent a code for the key box which was supposed to hold the key to the room. We are traveling with e bikes and a kayak that are quite expensive. When we got to the location - we found an open key box with no keys and the door was unlocked. The cabin itself smelled incredibly musty - there were 2 cabins attached that were empty. The room was not clean and did not feel safe. There was no key so we could not lock the door. We were told the office closed at 6 and we did not arrive until 6. There was no way we could stay in a room for which we did not have a key and could not lock. Additionally, the room was very dirty. I do not know anyone who would stay in a room with no key - espeically since someone else had the key.

      This guest is delusional, we do not offer any of those items she would have liked, our cabins are professionally cleaned.  The guest called to inform us that she was coming in the dark, we offered her to turn on the heat, and leave the key in the door.  We did, the accusation of a questionable area is so far fetched that it is slander.  We have had this business for over ****************************************************** their possessions. The fact that she only needed to call us and advise us that she didn't want to stay versus telling stories and creating lies to try to hurt our business is unacceptable.  This particular cabin was rented the very next day and that was after we went in again and made sure to update anything that they used, finding that they were in the cabin and the guests who came loved it so much they booked their summer vacation already.  So if you would be so kind to remove this outlandish complaint it would be great.  Guests like these are pathetic.

      I am rejecting this response because: Attached is the description of the "resort". When we arrived at the cabin there were NO KEYS - the door was unlocked but we did not have any keys to lock the door. We travel with laptop for business which we did not intend to use, kayaks, e-bikes and many other valuables. When we arrived at the cabin the door was unlocked but there were no keys to lock the door. There was not a restaurant, so we needed to eat. WE could not unload the car because we did not have keys to lock the door. As I stated it felt quite unsafe. WE rent VRBO remote cabins often and always leave any visit trying to make the cabin or home better than it was when we got there. We were on a 3 week trip and every other stop the owners/managers wished we would stay longer. WE are not delusional nor are we difficult. I do not know anyone who would stay in a place without keys. WE did not know if someone else had the keys or if the manager took the keys - but as stated the key box was open and we looked everywhere for the keys and they were not around. We started that day of our trip with a flat tire - had we arrived earlier maybe this could have been worked out - but as I said - I informed the "resort" we had a flat tire and would not arrive before 6 - after a long day of travel we could not stay in a place without keys and feeling unsafe. WE tried to find a room at the casino but there were 550 a night. We ended up driving to ********* and trying to find a room. We own a remote cabin in ********* and were not looking for luxury accommodations - however, as stated the cabin had a very musty smell - there were 3 cabins attached - all were empty. There was bird c*** all over the porch - there was no key and the tub had black substance around the drain. There was an old curtain around the bed. All I can say is it was not as described in the add and there is NO WAY I would spend the night in a ******************.
