    From 8/21 to 8/22 many items were submitted for consignment. Payment for items sold was to be made each month. Over the year only four monthly checks were received. In August 2022 the business closed. Owner ******* ****** had been unwilling to reconcile our lists of items to account for those unpaid or never displayed in the store or otherwise unaccounted for. Up to that point our owner/client relationship had been excellent. Bookkeeping had been wholly inadequate and we were told a buyout settlement would be forthcoming. Ms ****** is frequently unwell and required our patience. At present our communication has ceased due to Ms ******’s failure to respond. We have suggest we would accept her fair and reasonable settlement amount.

    My mother, *** ******, who passed away May 2nd of this year, had a dining set with buffet and hutch at the Now and Then Classic Consignments of Clayton. My sister and I went to the shop location to get the furniture back since it wasn't selling and there is a sign on the door saying they are temporarily closed due to illness. They have been closed for well over a month at least as far as l know . I have tried to call the business but I get a recording that the number is not in service and my emails to her are returned as undeliverable. I have no way of getting in touch with the owner to get the furniture back. The shop owner's name is *******. Our family would just like to get the furniture back so that we can tie up the last items of our mother's estate. Our mother would be very upset that we are having this trouble. Any suggestions and help that you can give to us would be so very appreciated.
