    I had this company come and evaluate a plumbing problem on 9/20/2023. For this investigation, I paid $585 + tax (for a total of ******) with the understanding that all of this money would go towards work done if work was needed. A leak was identified, and a replacement of a drain pipe was needed to repair. The company removed and capped the pipe, and we had planned to later replace the pipe. We paid $1600 + tax (total $1708.00) which was half the total for the entire planned project. It was NOT communicated to us that this was a deposit.We have since decided not to move forward with replacing the drain pipe, and the company is refusing to refund us for the portion of the project we chose not to proceed with. This would be acceptable if we had been told it was a nonrefundable deposit on the planned project, but this was not communicated. We would like to be refunded such that we only are paying for the work that was actually completed. At the very least, we would like all of the $585 to be put toward the work done, we only received half of this as the $585 was deducted from the total cost of the project.

    We never said we were not going to refund the $585. There is a copy of our invoice and we put the check in the mail October 2, 2023 in the amount of $585.
