This man is a thief. He kept my "registration fee" for a class he no longer offers. That is theft period! He says he put waivers in place in order to "protect his business." Keeping money from someone on a class you do NOT OFFER is not protecting your business. That is theft, PERIOD! He said it is difficult to issue a refund in the system, then write a check! But you do NOT keep someones money. That is actual *********, let's address that he offered me a "credit" to resolve this. I do not want a credit when he doesn't offer a class that is listed. Makes me think that there will never be a class she can go to so he will have an excuse to keep my ******** I do not want to do a birthday party there. I don't want to patronize an establishment with a thief for an owner who does unethical business practices. If they don't offer the class, there is no registration for the class, therefore, they do not get to keep the registration fee. They do NOT get to FORCE people to spend MORE money in the establishment especially when there is no guarantee there will be a class available for her.Stealing is NOT protecting your business. Stealing is stealing. There was NO REGISTRATION for a class that doesn't exist! No registration, no registration FEE! It's basic math. The biggest issue though, is I might have actually accepted the credit but HE CHOSE to ARGUE with me. His job was to explain himself and then allow me to express my frustration at his unethical business practice and to explain that. You don't argue with people when you are stealing their money. That is REALLY bad business.

    Business Response

Our customer did not read any of the policies of the registration process which clearly identifies the gyms no registration fee refunds. The client cannot proceed through the registration without a digital signature that acknowledges that they have read and aware of our policies surrounding registration and financial transactions.
we attempted to accommodate a request for credit but client was irrate and not interested in an alternate solution!

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:

    1) The class was listed but was cancelled, that is not the customer's fault, I did not cancel, the class does not exist.

    2) A non existent class means she is not registered in the class, therefore there is no registration fee.

    3) It is theft, and unethical business practice to keep money for a service not provided. A class is a service. Even colleges return registration fees for cancelled classes that THEY cancel.

    4) Just because a business has check boxes to register for classes does not mean they are legally binding or enforceable "policies". Policy and law are two different things.

    5) The law does not generally allow a company to keep fees for services NOT RENDERED.

Overview, I attempted to register my granddaughter in the class that was listed on line. My son took her to the class and when he arrived the doors were locked and the parking lot empty. Therefore, there is no registration for a nonexistent class and a refund IN FULL is legally required. The customer does not have to accept a "credit." I no longer wish to patronize this business.
