Purchased as "scratch and dent." Company did not disclose that it also could be ******************* assured all charges were paid up front but delivery driver claimed he was told to collect additional money from me, and after much arguing agreed not to, but also did not feel like dealing with the pre-arranged water hookup for freezer, so he didn't complete the job. After a couple weeks I noticed food spoiling after 2 days (which normally had a shelf life of 6 days), meat ******** after a day or two, and the ice maker melting and refreezing.I chalked it up to bad food purchases but finally realized it was the fridge.**************** sent out first tech, who couldn't find a serial number because they scratch them off. Nor did the receipt actually correlate to any actual ** fridge, another sign of a scam company. They spent over a month trying to find a part, but it either doesn't exist or something else, because the warranty company restarted the entire process with a new repair tech. EIGHT weeks after beginning the warranty process, the next tech came out, found more things wrong with the fridge and declared it unrepairable. I waited 11 days from his visit, finally called warranty company and only THEN did they submit the claim for replacement. They offered $771! For a brand "new" fridge which was never working properly from day 1. The only proper settlement is for Appliances 4 Less to refund the full amount paid, including delivery and taxes, because of the deceitful practices employed. I never would have bought the fridge had I known the issues went beyond some dings, and how the "warranty" process would work, plus the behavior of the delivery driver. **************** informed me that these types of products deteriorate significantly as soon as they leave the store. Of course this was not explained to me prior to purchase either. Legal action will be next if the above action is not taken.

I did go into the store to discuss the problem with the refrigerator, neither owner was in; the gentleman at the front desk did call & speak to one of the owners while I was there, they directed him to inform me to follow up with CPS.

This is where the problem snowballed.  CPS does NOT give full replacement value.  They said it WAS a refurb appliance with a litany of parts not working, & they sent multiple companies to my home to confirm this.  Both technicians gave me information on the practices of the "scratch and dent" stores, and that the fact the appliances may be refurbished is not disclosed properly.  CPS then said the appliance loses a ton of value as soon as it leaves the floor & because it's refurbished, they will not give full replacement value, even though that's what a warranty is 100% supposed to do within that year.  They offered me barely more than half the original purchase price, & their final offer was only $29 higher than the initial offer.  This process dragged out for months, and it would only get moving when I would call & call & email them, then they'd go to the next step, or send out a second company to examine it.

I was hesitant to go back into the store and face the owners due to the practices employed by the delivery driver, as it seemed to be akin to scams run by other stores & delivery services, so I didn't feel comfortable facing them because I couldn't depend on honesty. I also was so shocked by the appliance seeming not to work (when I was told it was NEW other than exterior damage), I told myself it was my imagination and maybe a door had been left open, etc.  Once I determined it was not my imagination, I began the process.  So yes, I am absolutely going to warn other consumers!

If the store wishes to stand behind their name, they can refund me the difference between the low payout offered by CPS.  That difference is $696.93.  Again, the fact that I am having to argue to get full price is such a terrible business practice.
