    I am filing a complaint against Mini Storage Depot. During a tour on December 13th, 2023, the storage manager, *******, kicked a mouse into the bathroom and claimed it was just dust. While I initially chose to overlook this incident, I documented it by calling my parents and texting my boyfriend with the date and time. Due to the urgency of my move-out from my previous residence, I decided to proceed with renting a unit despite my reservations. I completed moving my belongings in by December 17th, 2023. Upon returning to my unit on January 21st, 2024, around 3:30 pm, I discovered significant damage to my belongings and evidence of mice (droppings and urine) throughout the unit. The office door was locked, and *******, who was present during my initial visit, was suspiciously absent. I left a voicemail for him and requested to speak with a supervisor through another employee. Neither ******* nor a supervisor ever contacted me. ******* eventually returned my call and denied the presence of mice, despite the clear evidence I had observed. He also denied his initial action of kicking the mouse into the bathroom. Furthermore, Mini Storage Depot did not offer insurance or compensation for the damage to my belongings. Following this incident, I stopped receiving email receipts for my storage unit charges. As a result, it took some time to notice that the monthly price for my unit had been fluctuating and increasing. On March 1st, 2024, I received an email announcing the implementation of an $11 monthly protection plan starting April 1st, 2024. The email offered an opt-out option, which I completed on March 3rd. Despite opting out of the protection plan, I was charged an additional $11 on May 1st, 2024. When I contacted ******* requested proof of my opt-out completion via email while on the phone. He then invented an excuse about missing a "declaration" page, which was not mentioned in the original opt-out instructions.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    They did not offer any compensation for any damages of my items due to the mice they had , during the period they did not offer insurance.
