We bought a **** ******* accent from him that gave us nothing but issues and we paid it off. Now we bought a **** Oldsmobile Alero and when we drove off the lot. we went to get an oil change and they let us know that coolant was leaking through a heater hose. That was replaced. On the way home my wife thought it was raining. And coolant was shooting on my wife hand from the engine compartment. So I had to replace the reservoir tank. Then I had the intake gaskets replaced the upper and the lower and I spent almost $800. I also replaced the radiator and the thermostat and still had issues. We called him to see if he would do something about what was going on and he denied everything. So we told him we were not going to make any payments he can come and get it. But I am going to take this to court if he does not refund at least the down payment ************************************************************************************************ March. I have receipts for every repair that I had done on that car. Now not even a day later he puts the car up for sale again with the coolant still inside the windshield and when he left my house he admitted in front of my daughter that he knew it was a head gasket. So unless he refunds my down payment I will be taking him to court.

I have been a Licensed ** Auto Dealer since 1990.  I have sold approximately ****** vehicles during that time.  Vehicles I sell are on average 15 - 25 years old, with ******* plus miles (****** miles per year times the age of the vehicle is industry average).  My vehicles are older and therefore I am able to sell lower priced vehicles and offer financing on all the vehicles I sell.  100 percent of the vehicles I sell/have sold have passed a ** required DMV Inspection. 100 percent of the vehicles I sell are sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY.  Customers are welcome to test drive any vehicle and welcome to have their mechanic check the vehicle prior to purchase.

The customer bought this vehicle March 23, 2023 and returned it July 19, 2023.  If and when the customer had the vehicle serviced, their mechanic, it sounds like, was misdiagnosing a problem.  And he continued to misdiagnose on multiple occasions.  Unfortunately, no one can predict the future of any vehicle.  But if a vehicle is driven when the engine is overheating (as indicated by Temperature gauge/HOT light on the instrument cluster), there is a high probability engine damage (blown head gasket) will occur.

I can forgive their Loan obligation to my company and agree not to pursue my legal rights to collect the debt.  In that scenario, negative consequences to their credit and legal judgements for the outstanding balance can be avoided.  There will be no refund.

THE VEHICLE IS OR NEVER HAS BEEN PLACED BACK ON MY LOT FOR SALE AGAIN!  THIS IS VERY EASY TO PROVE VIA VIN NUMBER VERIFICATION!

I will add, in all my years as a ** Auto Dealer, I have NEVER received a violation of any kind from the ************** Vehicle Dealer Enforcement Department.

As of March 20, 2023, this complaint has been successfully settled and resolved.  The customer was refunded their full down payment as they requested.

Unfortunately, no one can predict the future of a vehicle that is 24 years old (**** Chev Cav).
