I signed a contract with ******* *****, owner of Local Dads LLC on 7/31/24 for his company to do an extension remodel of my kitchen. Mr. ***** said the remodel would take 5 to 6 weeks. His crew started working at my house in September 2024 and he has been working on my kitchen for 9 months now without completion of the project. My wife and I have had several conversations with Mr. ***** to resolve the issue but he seems to not care and our project seems to not be a priority to him. He continues to attempt to work on our project every 3 weeks. We have been more than cooperative and have given Mr. ***** every payment he has asked for. We have paid a total of $38,337.00 on the project we both signed contract for totaling $39,515.00. We made the following payments:7/8/24. $1,000.00 Contract Fee 8/1/24 $20,800.00 9/6/24 $5,927.25 1/2/25 $5,927.25 3/4/35. $4,682.50/Change ***************** contract stated that his company would provide the following:Replicate the exact mold of the kitchen all materials that can be reused will be refurbished. The house would be extended out 6 feet. That is framing for walls. Cabinetry and windows on the property would be reused. Sheet rock would be hung and painted. Customer would install flooring.Ceiling would be sprayed with texture to match the rest of the ceiling total kitchen ceiling.Any extra materials for kitchen are being provided from the customer counter tops materials will be provided by customer. ******************** are responsible for installing countrertops. Local dads is responsible for water, electrical, shingles, framing, concrete, permits, gutters and siding. Mr. ***** and his crew have been working at my house for 9 months and the job is not even half done. This is frustrating because I have held up my commitment to the contract. Not to mention my family have had to eat out daily, my house has flooded because of Mr. ***** not securing a tarp on the roof. I just want my kitchen completed.

    Business Response

I would like to sincerely explain the circumstances that led to the extended timeline, the steps I took to ensure the work was completed probable, and my commitment to fairness and integrity throughout the process.During the course of this construction project,I encountered several unexpected obstacles, particularly related to inspections and revised building requirements mandated by the City of **********The local inspector required certain materials to be changed from what was originally approved, which caused unanticipated delays in both sourcing and installation. These changes were outside of my control but required immediate attention and compliance in order to move forward.Despite these challenges,I never abandoned the project or the customer.I remained committed to completing the work to the highest standard and took extra precautions to ensure that any issues were properly addressed before moving forward.I understand the value of a homeowner's trust and it was important to me to uphold that trust even when the job became more difficult than anticipated.Throughout the process I maintained open lines of communication with the customer.Although the extended timeline was not ideal, my priority remained on delivering quality and complaint results rather than ******* through and risking poor workmanship.Due to the changes that occurred during the project, many of which resulted in added cost, I offered to cut the pricing of some change orders in half in good faith. The decision was made solely to ease the burden on the client and demonstrate my commitment to fairness and customer satisfaction.I take great pride in my work and the reputation of Local Dads LLC.While delays and changes are sometimes unavoidable in construction I do everything I can to ensure the client is respected, informed, and satisfied. Please do not hesitate to contact me if any further information is needed.
