I sent them two emails asking for the necessary information to file a complaint about issues relating to the current *** exam sections (that I have paid hundreds of dollars for) as well as for the transition to the *** Evolution initiative. Both emails remain unanswered to no surprise. The issues that I want to inquire about are not merely my beliefs only. Please respond to my most recent email and provide the necessary information to file a complaint about issues relating to the current *** exam sections as well as for the transition to the *** Evolution initiative. I will then conclude that I am satisfied with this particular complaint and if the original complaint is reasonably addressed, I won't file a new complaint with BBB based on inadequate handling.

During 2021, I purchased the risk management certificate bundle from the AICPA, which was advertised to prepare you for the risk management exam to earn a certificate. I took the courses, passed the course material exams with a 90 or better, then sat for the certificate exam and failed. The AICPA does not give any indication what should be studied, or how badly you failed the exam and no way to study further, as the materials provided were the ones studied. I took the *** license exams, studying what *** provided and passed. Using the *** information, as well as Study.com, I was able to pass the AICPA risk management test.I signed up for the estate planning certificate. Studied the provided materials, passed the study material exams with 90 or better and failed the certificate exam. In March 2022, I contacted the AICPA complaining that the materials provided in the bundles did not prepare one to pass the exam. I spoke with *********************, Senior Manager, PFP and was assured that the AICPA was aware and were working on the problem, by doing a one for one examination of test questions to the materials. She indicated it would be completed in a few weeks. I followed up 2 months later (May 2022), no response. Followed up June 2022 and was told "The update to the certificate assessments are nearly complete." Followed up again in August and was told "They are finalizing the updates currently." Sent an email in October 2022, no response. I was out of time to take the test (you are given 1 year to take the test twice), so I studied the materials again, took the test and failed.I graduated with my MS in 2021 with a 4.0 average, I am not a dumb person. The AICPA is falsely advertising these certificates bundles that do not prepare you for the certificate exam. I am simply looking for the AICPA to do what they said there were going to do back in March and create a test that matches the material and then allow me to take the exam again.

I declined to renew my AICPA membership due to major problems in the organization, non-functionality of their website, and a huge decline in service quality since the merger with the CIMA. Even though I did not renew, the AICPA continues sending me a bill for renewal charges.

I applied to take my regulation CPA exam on the 1st of October. The exam has test windows that determine when you’ll receive your score. I rescheduled my exam from an earlier date to the 1st of October because that was the last day that I could take the exam so I would receive my score on the 11th of October. I paid $35 for this. On the 30th of September, the AICPA stated that there was a mistake with their website and that the cutoff date should have been on the 30th of September. They did this on the 30th of September, the day before I was to take my exam. Within one day of your exam you are not allowed to reschedule your exam so I had to take the exam on the 1st of October. The AICPA has had that schedule posted for the last year. Not once did they decide to check whether it was correct. They have decided to shift the blame to us and now we are forced to wait until the 8th of November to receive our score. I took it on the 1st so I would have to wait the least amount of time possible. They have not done anything for us and have basically told us to suck it up. This is ridiculous since it is coming from the organization responsible for accountability. Where is their own accountability? It seems that accountability is for thee, not me when it comes to the AICPA.
