My family rented a home in **********, ** for December 6-8 through VRBO. The host of that Property is Elmay Properties in *********. Along with the rental price, we paid a $1500 damage deposit that we would receive back after the stay-contingent on any damages. Upon arrival, we could not enter the residence with the code and lockbox on the front door. We immediately notified Elmay Properties. We contacted them by phone and text. Repeatedly. After 2 hours of waiting in the driveway of the property, ******** called. She told us that she was in charge of this property. She apologized for the issue. She offered to come help. However, she was more than an hour from the house. At that point, we requested a refund. ******** stated she felt we would receive a full refund because of the hard time we were having. At that point, we had to find another place to stay.We have spoken with VRBO. Sent all of the correspondence with the host. **** requested that the host refund us. The host decided to refund us of $1423.50 of the damage deposit. We were told there were stains on towels and a pillowcase. Those stains were absolutely not from my family. We never stepped foot in that property. Elmay Properties has not responded to our messages or phone calls. We would like a full refund of ****** on the rental fee and $76.50 damage deposit.
