      I am writing to file a complaint against Budget Blinds of Durham regarding their deceptive trade practices and their failure to resolve a billing dispute with me.Last year, my wife and I decided to hire Budget Blinds for window coverings for our new home. We were initially impressed with their sales pitch, which included a lower price than their competitors, and were promised high-quality products and top-notch service. However, as the project progressed, we experienced numerous issues with the quality of their work and products, as well as poor customer service.In addition to the ongoing quality and service issues, we discovered that the company had used a bait and switch tactic to earn our business. They underquoted our job initially, only to later charge us more for additional windows. This is a clear violation of the Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act (UDTPA) in North ********* where the company is based.We have already paid them $20,000 for their services, but we recently received a bill for an additional $806, which we are disputing. We believe that this charge is unjustified given the ongoing issues we have experienced and the deceptive trade practices used to earn our business.Despite our attempts to resolve the issue with the company, they have been unresponsive and have not made any effort to address our concerns. We have attempted to negotiate a fair resolution, but they have been unwilling to cooperate.We are seeking your assistance in facilitating a resolution between us and Budget Blinds. We would like them to address the ongoing quality and service issues we have experienced, waive the remaining $806 charge, and offer a fair and reasonable solution to the problems we have encountered.Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.*********,*****************************

      This compliant is completely untrue on many levels. We NEVER acted dis-honestly and unethically in this process. We delivered the products that were ordered on time and within our estimates for custom shutters, and when the client was expecting to have several other windows covered that our consultant was told that they did not want on this original order (and were never charged for), we made significant concession to order those new shutters at below cost for the customer. There were 2-3 minor issues with shades after the original installation, and all were addressed and fixed in a timely manner. 

      After all the work was completed, the client began demanding we waive his $2,000 balance, while also accusing us of deceitful and illegal practices and threatening to spread negative reviews if we didn't remove his balance. All of this is completely untrue and unfortunately an attempt to get out of paying for the products and services we provided per our contracts. 

      Our company has been in business for almost 25 years, we have NEVER had a complaint like this, because it is untrue and dis-honest. We have a 4.9 ****** rating with over 800 reviews for a reason, but unfortunately people can claim anything in an effort to bully a small business.  We will not be waiving the remaining $800 balance and will pursue all legal means to collect this money.
