    On Wednesday Sept 27th, 2023 I purchased a loaf of bread and some pastry from the 9th St Bakery. I have trusted this bakery since they were on 9th st. I am a senior citizen and disable Vet on a budget.The blueberry danish was hard so I returned it in exchange for blueberry muffins which had a mold taste.I requested a refund for the spoiled pastry. The products were on a rack that says "day old". After talking with the ****** who was attempting to help me, A woman appeared and said that "she personally wrapped the pastry on MONDAY EVENING". She also said that they DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS YOU TAKE A CHANCE.The sign says day old not _DAYS old and it does not say no refunds. Also there is NO DATE ON PASTRY. This is also referred to the health dept.I asked for compensation for the spoiled products and she refused again.I left disappointed about their customer service and the quality of the old products being sold as day old and that lack of signage.It could be discrimination because before she knew the situation she challenged the cashier who was helping me. I am a black female.
