    Kelly ****** Jay was great until she wasn’t. She no showed TWO days in a row after one of the bookings was confirmed via text a week before and the second booking scheduled about 2 months prior. We initially reached out to her on Sitter City in J*** **** (now she is no longer listed on there) and she quickly became our ‘regular’ go-to babysitter for occasional coverage. Full days, half days, morning and evenings, drop offs for school once or twice for our two kids-she drove our vehicle etc. I was a reference for her for a new family that I spoke with directly and also referred her to another close friend with two children. We actually encouraged her to start her own business for childcare since she had so many families that sought her out and regularly cared for- which she did! She created Kelly’s Kiddie Care, LLC. I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of professionalism in ending services. To no show on a family that had a good history with her and to do it by ghosting us- ignoring calls, texts, blocking on social media when we never interacted with her on socials, etc. is truly terrible and speaks volumes of her true character. Take note- if you do something wrong, even if it’s unbeknownst to you, or she is suddenly inconvenienced by a job, do NOT expect her to stand up and face the issue and communicate with you about it. I shared this in my local mom groups and SEVERAL women came forward saying she has done the same thing. It’s scary she’s doing this, when we trusted her with our CHILDREN. I cannot with ease of consciousness ever recommend her again for taking care of children, whom she could intentionally no show on, with no regard for common courtesy and communication. Please stay far away from her services.
