I contracted the services of the company for dog training. After only a couple of sessions, I expressed my disappointment and was asked to continue to work with them for a bit longer. The training was ineffective. I went to another trainer for an assessment and he was able to accomplish more in 30 minutes than they were able to accomplish in a month and a half. during that month and a half I was injured several times due to the lack of training. I have asked the company for a refund of my initial payment of $1800+ and they will not issue any form of refund.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/15/2023

We did a comprehensive 2 hour consultation that includes education and demonstration. This is to ensure that our clients know EXACTLY what and why we are going to teach them. She decided to sign up based on that consultation. Additionally, our no refund policy is covered verbally and is in bold print on the contract she signed.

I started this company in 2009 and its built on integrity and fair, ethical and safe treatment of animals. We did not get to today by mistreating clients. She has not done the homework we suggested and was already asking for a refund before ****** 2. We have not defaulted. She has access to her trainer via our database, phone and even has access to our exclusive client app in which our training program is contained for quick reference in text and video, for in between sessions.

We suggested a HALTI head harness to reduce pulling on the leash. She did not take the time to desensitize and condition the dog to the harness and promptly returned it to the store because she didnt like it. The dog was set up to fail in this scenario.

We are in communication with her right now as of 1:39pm today to get my GM and possibly myself out to see her on the 20th. That has not been confirmed as of right now but it has been offered.

Attached are the Session Notes we keep on every client for every session.

      ****** 2:
worked on adding challenge to place and heel at ******.

Client seems to want things to work much faster without the work.  Had asked for refund but seems onboard again.

I recommended halti and she tried it and returned it all in the past few days. No time to condition it. Will try easy walk style harness next.

Walking on ************** did improve over the course of the ****** though. I spent at least 20 minutes walking him and letting ******** watch and she did well when it was her turn.

Hopefully she will do homework and have a bit more patience for things to start working.
