I met with gym staff member and agreed to a month of personal training 2 x weekly. I was told to initial twice in a signature box (similar to what you might sign after a store purchase) and sign my name agreeing to the $335 for the monthly fee. The personal trainer contacted me 4 days later and was unable to see me when I could meet. I requested a refund and was sent to a third party billing agency. The agency said that I had signed a 6 month contract (which I never saw or was told I was signing) and that I could not cancel. They told me to contact the gym for any cancellation. I requested the contract which I received two weeks after having signed it which stated I had 3 days from when signed to cancel. It is my understanding that it is illegal to have someone sign a contract without showing them or telling them prior to signing. I contacted the gym today and they told me I could not cancel and that I needed to contact the third party billing agency. They also would not provide me with the number for the corporate office. Such a runaround reeks of scam to me. In summary: 1. Not told I was signing a contract; 2. Signed a contract without seeing it first; 3. Not being told I could cancel the contract within 3 days; 4. Being contacted by personal trainer after the cancellation period ended; 5. Not given the contract until 2 weeks later when I had to request from the 3rd party billing agency; 6. Unable to speak to anyone at the corporate office who could actually rectify this situation. The only solution for me is for them to cancel this contract immediately.

I signed up on 7/30/23 and was told by an employee at ********************* location that I had to attend a MANDATORY fitness assessment. The morning of 8/8/23, I attended the fitness assessment with *************************, the manager. She walked me through various movements and weighed me, after I expressed discomfort about being weighed. Sitting there uncomfortable, she continued to sell her personal training/nutrition program to me. After realizing, how unprofessional this interaction was I decided to cancel the training program the same day. I signed the contract on 8/8/23 and was charged $159, which included PT First Month Dues and PT Programming Fee. I mailed a cancellation letter out on 8/9/23. After the establishment received my letter on 8/11/23; ****** sent me a text message saying I needed to come in before 5pm to sign a cancellation form to cancel the contract. This is stated NO WHERE in the contract I signed. The contract states that I need to mail in a letter to cancel the contract before 3 days after I signed. I demanded a full refund of $159, she insisted I get a partial refund of $90. She was stating I couldnt be refunded the PT Programming Fee of $69 because the PT Programming Fee is nonrefundable. I asked what the PT Programming Fee was, she stated it involved meeting with the personal trainer which I NEVER met with. I was charged with a PT Programming Fee which does not state in the contract that it is nonrefundable, only the Programming Fee is nonrefundable. After getting nowhere, I emailed ****************************************** on 8/11/23 and have not gotten a response. After reaching multiple dead ends, I decided to dispute the charges with my bank, on 8/18/23. After I disputed the charge with the bank, I saw my bank statements that Fit4Life, finally decided to give me a refund of ONLY $90 on 8/21/23. I then received an email on 8/29/23 stating I owe the gym $179, threatening to send me to collections if I dont pay the balance before November 2023.

Have a membership, no contract. Moved to ******** last September. Asked to cancel my membership before I moved. Did not happen. Business said they need proof I no longer live in **. I provided employment documentation, receipt from current housing (motel that rents monthly so no lease agreement available). Vehicle registration in ******** and they still won't cancel my membership. There are no Fit4life locations where I live in ********. They keep charging me the monthly membership fees. I don't want a membership at Fit4life. I have already paid the fees since September 2022 and they refuse to cancel my membership and keep asking for more and more information. They are questioning my integrity and I find this offensive. I moved out of state . They request more documentation than you need at the **** I am so frustrated.

I am highly upset but also expected from this company. From poor customer service from the corporation to wanting so much money. It's quit sad actually a company that makes so much money wants citizens who may or may not have all the funds in the world to always shovel money to them. Iv been trying for about a month or over to cancel my membership because I moved across the state and have no way of giving them "there proof of moving " pathetic if you ask me not only do you want 150 dollars from a single mom but a 60 day notice but they want 10 business days to reply after every message. So much for a great company I will never ever recommend this company to any of my gym friends not only did I never feel welcomed. But also for being a bigger girl and always being looked at when I walked in. Staff were never welcoming. I haven't been to the gym in months due to not even having the confidence in waking in. But then moving and can't do anything because I don't have mail in my name so I have no choice but to continue to pay them when I can't even go and they can clearly see I haven't been. I have never been with a gym who has gone through this much to get so much money from people (note to self this company doesn't care about there customers and strictly money) when really there work out equipment isn't even very well maintained. Out of all the gyms Iv been to with moving around a lot have I ever had an experience this awful.
