Dishonest, misleading, and deceptive. Everything that you would expect from a lawyer! Contacted for a simple will, had to pay a $250 fee for a consultation that was supposed to be done by a lawyer, but was done by a second level individual in order to find out that the cost for a simple will was already five times higher than anyone else. When did we start having to pay a fee to find out the cost of services? Completely dishonest! Absolutely do not recommend! I wish I could leave them less than one star!

We are sorry that you did not have a good experience during the 5 minute phone call with one of our attorneys. We have refunded the consult fee to you. We cannot know what documents someone needs to complete an estate plan unless we speak to them and find out what their specific needs are and we did attempt to determine what you needed. We wish you well in getting your will drafted.

Our son with dad (me) and mom had a consultation with Breeden Law regarding my son's child custody case where his ex-wife was planning to move and take their child. A move which exceeded the previous custody agreement restricting moving to less than 35 miles. ****** a simple case.In the consultation it was asked multiple times "will the remaining/unused retainer be refunded?" Each time the answer was YES. My son signed a contract on 7/18/23. I paid the retainer fee of $7,500 and we moved forward. My son's ex-wife wound up dropping the custody change. By 9/20/23 when the Breeden Law services were no longer required, there were a total of **** hours of Breeden Law and $1,130 in charges accumulated. My son (at my request) asked for a refund for the difference ($6,370). Mr. ******************** said the signed contract stipulated the retainer was a minimum fee and we would not receive a full refund. $500 was refunded.I contacted the BBB, ** *************** and filed a grievance against the Breeden Law Firm. The next step was to take them to small claims court, but before doing so I decided to place a couple of reviews in BBB and Yelp. Mr. ******************** took exception to this and ultimately offered a refund "if I would retract my postings and change my rating from a 1-star to a 5-star rating". I told him it would be considered if we could have a 1:1 meeting. He refused as "I was not the client".Finally, after months and months of back and forth, Mr. ******************** saw the light and refunded a second check in the amount of $5,870, the total balance. The final check was received on February 5, 2024.Unfortunately I could not give Breeden Law a rating of ZERO.

We have refunded all money requested to our client who was not the person leaving the review. We won the case and after we won the case this person requested the minimum fee be returned.

This was not a client of ours but we did represent his son.   We won the case for his son and after we won the case then the clients father demanded that the minimum litigation fee be refunded to him. Our office by convincing the other attorney and her client that the case they thought they had did not exist essentially forced the other side into taking a dismissal saving our client over $20,000 in litigation fees and 1 to 2 years in Court.    The main thing is that our office won the case and our client got the outcome he desired.      It is unfortunate that his father did not see the value that we brought to the case or the savings we created by working hard to get the case dismissed.
