June 20th, Brought vehicle in for driverside window up, needed motor. Was told of low brake pedal, needed master cylinder, ***** master cylinder bleed brakes. Work completed left shop. Car needed to be towed at 6:15pm that night, due to steering column violently shaking and loss of power. Car was towed and left at shop. Next morning I took an Uber to shop and told shop what happened. Was told the brake booster was too tight. This was fixed and left shop. Returned to shop 5 mins later, after hearing 'flapping' sound. ******** took car back in garage. 10 mins later, car was presented. Asked for mechanic to ride around block with me driving, to confirm no further noise. Mechanic was not receptive to this, stated 'I've already fixed it, I don't need to do that'. I explained to mechanic that testing the car made sense. ******** was rude, but he rode with me to test car. No noise upon leaving shop. June 26th while picking up dinner in **********, clutch mashed to the floor. Called for another tow. Vehicle was towed to another shop as I was not confident *** Dalton could fix the problem, as this was related to work done on master cylinder. Due to ***** parts issues nationwide, I didn't have my car again until July 3rd. The new mechanic at a different shop was able to fix the clutch issue, as he stated damage to line and leakage to of fluid. The master cylinder is still damaged, car will run, but not safely. I'm requesting a refund to pay work on the master cylinder NOT COMPLETED CORRECTLY. Why did I not bring it back to *** Dalton? Because I don't believe they knew what they were doing and caused additional problems to my vehicle. The hole in the clutch slave hose and the master cylinder work not right. The second shop charged me $393.54 & $400 for the work *** Dalton charged me. I will forward both invoices via email to BBB of Central and ************************.
