I’m not sure why the front desk/appointment scheduler felt it was her place to invalidate my symptoms and tell me that my experiences were completely normal, without the necessary qualifications to even be able to make such comments…I mean, there is a reason I received a referral and reason the referring doctor felt it was necessary. But for a know-nothing appointment scheduler who has 0 experience or knowledge as a dentist to tell me it’s normal, and suggest (by the unprofessional nature of the interaction I had with her) that I’m overreacting about my symptoms, feels like gaslighting. I mean, there’s a reason you’re not the practicing dentist and have a front desk job? So stick to the appointment scheduling and keep all your comments relating to how I’m feeling that are completely unnecessary and disrespectful to yourself? Make them once you go through and graduate from dental school…? So, glad I dodge a bullet as after this vile interaction with the appointment scheduler who felt it was her place to give me sound medical advise and tell me I’m fine and my symptoms are normal—so the referring dentist with all the credentials must be out of her mind bat **** crazy to even have referred me there because apparently my issues are nonexistent—I called the referring doctor back and requested a referral to a different dental office.
100% NOT A SAFE SPACE since they invalidate your pain and gaslight you to think that you’re overreacting and your symptoms don’t require their services, when they’re not even qualified to make such comments. Dear appointment scheduler/admin/front desk lady, here are some common sense advices: please mind your own job and leave the diagnosing and medical advice to the medical professionals, as what you are doing is highly dangerous and one day someone will end up listening to you minimizing their symptoms, and they will end up with serious issues!

Per our policy, we are required to ask certain questions to know how to schedule a patient. We record all phone conversations and have listened to the one mentioned above and we find that our employee followed protocol.

Then your entire practice is NOT a safe space and I will ensure I file complaints with the appropriate agencies accordingly. It’s a given if you are an admin you should not be giving medical advice. I called three different practices and they all conducted themselves in an appropriate manner; their admin did mind their jobs and did not attempt to diagnose me or dismiss my symptoms claiming they were “normal.” Their admin did attempt to contact my insurance FIRST before giving me estimates for my out of pocket costs, while yours gave me estimates for the full amount without running my insurance; but most importantly, they did not try to act like they were dentists. I placed a call to speak with an office manager and have yet to receive a callback. All around unprofessional and harmful to the health of potential patients based on my experience alone, therefore, I will file grievances with the appropriate agencies so this practice can be investigated accordingly. I’m not talking Google or BBB reviews.
