I was told on Nov 25th by ******** the ** and the owner in email and text that my insurance company was the problem as to why I was not getting the service I payed for, ******** became very argumentative and defensive in email,it got to the point my kneck was hurting from their stress,I blocked their email. I did have a good experience with the advocate that stretched me,I attempted to schedule another visit on a weekend hoping to avoid this GM and the owner so I could get out of pain. I was told by the owner on the phone that she did not want me to come back because she said that I said something bad about women, the only thing I said I have proof of is that I encouraged the ** and the owner to become better at their job and scheduling so that the customers can receive what they pay for. While I was being stretched on the 25th I witnessed a couple arrive to get stretched they was greeted with an apology that they was not scheduled correctly they could not receive a stretch. I have witnessed extreme unprofessionalism, and also false accusations to attempt to make me look wrong when I'm right. I was also strong armed into buying their socks,I was told my socks were not safe, their socks would need to be purchased to make myself safe. Im happy to share my emails and texts as it proves that the owner of this business is making false accusations against me because I pointed out their unprofessionalism.I filed a grievance with ************* care s-714780687 its never fair to a man when a woman plays victim this is supposed to be a business. I also feel like this business could be a front for money laundering purposes since they are not geared toward the business they are advertising for.

      Business Response

      Date: 11/12/2024

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

We are writing in response to the complaint filed by **** **** regarding their experience with our business. We take all customer feedback seriously and would like to address the concerns raised in the complaint thoroughly and professionally.

First, we would like to clarify that Mr. **** received all the benefits of the service and product for which he purchased on October *******. I have attached copies of the invoices paid for the 50-minute introductory stretch, hospital socks, and ********* relief lotion. As Mr. **** has noted, he did receive the one-on-one stretch in our wellness studio on October 23rd, and he expressed satisfaction with the stretch. The issues arose after his introductory stretch session when he wanted the manager to speak with his insurance company about coverage for future stretch sessions.Unfortunately, StretchLab is not a healthcare provider and does not bill insurance for services. We do have a few healthcare partnerships at a corporate level (StretchLab is a franchise business, and this location is locally owned and operated), but according to our healthcare Standard Operating Procedure, the client is required to self-verify eligibility and then provide us with the identification number provided. We are not permitted to speak with the insurance company on the clients behalf due to privacy concerns.

Both the manager and I (owner) spoke with Mr. **** and attempted to resolve the issue by providing Mr. **** with the contact information for the healthcare partnership and the details of the required information. This included emailing him the available information that we had from the healthcare SOP. During our multiple interactions with Mr. ***** he became increasingly frustrated, and we regret that he felt this way during his interactions with us. Our goal is always to provide excellent customer service and ensure that our clients feel heard and valued.

We would also like to address the claim regarding our ******** a part of our studio and franchise policy, grip socks are required for all stretch sessions for safety and hygiene reasons, and this is explained up front at the time of booking, and in an email that goes to the client prior to the appointment. Clients are encouraged to bring their own grip socks (yoga socks, hospital socks, trampoline socks) if they have them. Our socks are designed with safety and comfort in mind, and our staff is trained to explain their purpose to clients when necessary. It is never our intention to pressure customers into purchasing products, and we apologize if this was perceived as strong-arming.

As for the allegation of false accusations, we would like to clarify that at no point was Mr. **** accused of making inappropriate comments about women. We have no record of such statements being made, and we believe this may have been a misunderstanding. We value all our customers and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind.

Finally, the claim regarding our business being a "front for money laundering" is both unfounded and troubling. Our company operates legally and with full transparency. We are committed to providing quality services to our clients, and our business practices are in full compliance with all regulations.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you require any additional information or documentation, we are happy to provide it.
