02/13/2025 My items were put in the dryer located in a locked laundry room that requires a guestroom key card to access at around 0130. Later I went to retrieve my items but all had been taken from the dryer except for 1 garment. I reported the theft to to ** and he has video tape of the theft as it was taking place. The video showed that at 0330 3 homeless individuals, not staying at the hotel were in possession of a guest key card and able to gain access to the laundry room at which time they proceed to steal all my cloths. The manager was able to investigate who the key card belonged to and when I inquired I was told that the daughter lost the key card as she walked to the store and that 1 of the 3 individuals just so happen to be walking and came across this key card and for some reason decided to pick it up. It just so happened to be a working key card that has no hotel name on it and there are several hotels in the area but he just so happened to figure out which hotel it was but then he just so happened to try at the laundry room. Seems hard to believe. So the ** tells me that I need to file a police report and I do just that and then I ask if the hotel is going to compensate or assist me in any way, I mean they took all my cloths, all my socks and underwear and all my jeans...everything that I own except for some gym shorts and 2 pair of jeans to big for me that I had upstairs in the room. Stated that there was nothing that he can do. Now I have been living at this hotel for 7+ months and rent is 408 a week. I'm already having a hardships with money and he is aware of this and there is nothing that he can do or even try to do. After leaving and inquiring, I feel that they are to be held liable because the laundry room has hours posted 7am-11pm and they neglected to lock the key pad which would have denied all access ,
