    Greetings,I have been looking for years to find someone trustworthy to fix my roof. I finally found someone that I seemed comfortable with, and she recommended ***** Brooks. The real estate person's name is *********************** at EXP Realty. She recommended ***** Brooks quite highly. When the work began, I gave him $3,000. I told him that I will give him the rest after the job was complete. The strange thing is that the person that I initially met in person was quite opposite to the person who I met twice thereafter. The first person that I met was quite personable, and I felt comfortable in hiring him. The second time I met ***** Brooks, it was a different person--he was Anglo while the first person seemed to be more ethnic. This wasn't the deciding factor--the race--just that the first person was personable. Anyway, the repairs seemed to have taken longer than the week that I was told. I paid the ***** Brooks the $3,000, and when the job was finished, he got the remaining $6,000 but asked for $240 more because he said that he had to fix the back porch because of finding rot. I only paid him $140 more. Anyway, I was sent a notice by my security company to cut branches away from my home, so I decided to cut the sole pine tree leaning on my roof and blocking the view to a doorway. When I cut the tree, I noticed that ***** Brooks did not fix my roof. There were holes at the side, a larger hole covered with a brand new roof. I texted ***** Brooks and *********************** pictures of the holes in the roof, and I was sent a check for $200 which I have not cashed. Not only did he try to cover the holes in my roof, he refused to put back the covers of the gutters that I need to prevent all the leaves from the many oak trees around my property. He has not tried to return to remedy the problems. Therefore, I have to live with the infestation of stink bugs and squirrels living using my home as their winter residence. I am planning to contact the State attorney's office.
