  Advanced Laser Restoration is a laser cleaning franchised business. After meeting with ALR owner ******************* and his team I decided to purchase a franchise. Not long after receiving my equipment package I did several demonstrations in my franchise area. Each demonstration was a failure. I began to realize the lasers do not work as advertised by ****. One demonstration i did was cleaning bottom paint from fiberglass boats. This demonstration was a total failure. Before doing the demonstration I contacted **** for his advise on laser settings for fiberglass boats. He told me the settings to use. After the attempted demonstration I called and advised **** of the results. He said if they were steel boats I would have crushed it. I did some research on my own and discovered that laser cleaning of fiberglass is not recommended as the laser can damage the gel coat as well as the fiberglass. I was told by **** that the lasers are manufactured in the US by his engineers. I discovered the lasers are manufactured in *****. I am not the only franchisee to terminate as a result of ***** false claims and information. I have contacted several law firms for assistance in filing a claim against ALR. So far I have not found an attorney willing to help. I am hopeful the BBB will be able to help me. I look forward to hearing from a representative.
