    Feb. 12 I entered into a contract with business owner, ***** *****, to wrap my pickup truck for advertising my ************** cost of the wrap was $1389.25 Business requires a 50% deposit, which I paid on Feb. 12 ($694.88 leaving a balance due if $694.86 at the completion of the job).Contract completion date February 28, 2025.Job was not completed, or even started, by February 28, so on March 3 I contacted Mr. ****** by text to cancel the contract.I asked him to return $500 of the deposit I had paid him; I was willing to pay him the money for the computer work he had done to build a template for my work, even though he said he wouldn't charge me for that work.Throughout various lengthy texts, he said he didn't have the $500 to return to me.He even went so far as to say that weather had been an issue in his failure to complete the work. This is not true, since between Feb,. 12 and March 3, there was only one rainy *********, March 11, I texted Mr. ***** for the status of the return of my deposit, and have heard nothing in response.
