    This company hired a home inspector that was negligent and failed to report important and material facts for the benefit of the seller. He failed to report about flooding in the carport with normal rainfall because the driveway to the carport slopes gently downward from the road. After consulting a general contractor, a French drain has to be created at the concrete driveway and another at the carport. The inadequate design of the driveway and carport was not mentioned at all in the report.
    In addition, the inspector failed to recognize the difference between PEX and polybutylene piping material for plumbing. The home insurance had to be changed to a different company with higher premium because of the presence of polybutylene piping. The inspector failed to mention that only half of the house has composite cement fiber siding while the remaining half has cedar wood plank.
    He reported on a bathroom window that was obviously not working but failed to report on larger family room window that needs replacement.
    I would be concern about using this company based on my experience with one of their inspectors.
