    12-13-2022 I purchased an oil filter from ******* **** *****. The next day I put 6 quarts of oil in it and it all leaked out. I work on cars this has never happened before. I assumed it was something I did so I made sure the filter was not loose and I put six more quarts of oil in it and it all leaked out. I finally decided to inspect the filter and sure enough it is absolute trash. a crappy plastic cheap rubber piece was not sealed properly and that is what made $60 or more worth of oil leak out of my vehicle in one day. I contacted puralator before taking the part back to the store and answering service said they were at an event for some hours and that I should call back later. The message didn't give a specific time or any other option for that matter. So I took the part back to the ******** **** ***** store. when I returned home I called puralator customer service again. This time I spoke to an alleged manager and she told me unfortunately because I took it back to ******* **** ***** whatever warranty I had is now voided. The manager claimed that a field service tech Would have come to me and checked out the filter and they May have been able to reimburse me for my oil. I don't think I should be penalized because of their lack of customer service especially after purchasing their worthless product. I did what any customer would do and returned the item. only to find out from Purolator let the warranty is voided. It appears that puralator is all too eager to take no accountability responsibility or even offer my money back for oil. This is egregious and unacceptable to me.
