I was given a prescription by Dr. **** *******. I got that pre cscription filled at that office . I waited 2 weeks and had not heared anything back but I had an appointment coming up for field of vision test so I waited until that day. I called and was told they were there. I was given the new glasses but I told them on that day that the glasses were not right. I was told I just need to get use to them and within in a week after wearing them my eyes would adjust to them and that was a promise given to me by the associate that did some adjusting on them and if I was still not happy to come back in a weelk. I wore the glasses when I was at home and I just could not focus right with them and they would make me dizzy. Exactly a week later I was back in the office and on the way going there I ran off the road because of an on comingcar and I could not judge if I was on my side of the road or not. So I put my old glasses back on and by the time I got to the ********** I was very nervous and upset. I told them what happened. I was set up for another eye exam ,not on that day but the fllowing week and was told not to wear the glasses while I was driving and was sent home. Another ex was done and I was told nothing had changed and I just needed to adjust to the glasses and was sent out the door with them. I tried and tried adjusting to them when I was at home but I could not. After another week I went back up there again and since they could not or would not make them right I askecd for my money back. I was told I could not get my money back because they were already made and someone would call me the next day. I left the glasses there and no one has called me yet. I spent $492.00 on those glasses and I cant use them and they dont care . I have had to make a new appointment with my former eye dr. ** has always treated me right. In the mean time I am out of a lot of money for a pair of glasses that I could not wear.

I am sorry for your negative experience and I'm sorry we were unable to find a prescription that worked well for you.  Per standard procedure we do try to encourage taking 1-2 weeks to adapt to a new prescription and during that time we did meet up to double check your prescription.  As you mentioned in your post, we were unable to find a change in the prescription and the optical measurements were also correct for your new glasses.  Of course we do not want you left with a pair of glasses that you do not feel are adequate. As of the morning of 11/26/24 our optical has already contacted you and informed you that you would receive a full refund on your glasses.  Our apologies again for not being able to meet your needs.

I did try to adjust to those glasses but I could not because the prescription was not right. Even after *** ******* examined my eyes again he did not get it right . I know this because I went back to my former *** in ********* and he did find a difference in the prescripyion that I was given by *** ******** I can send proof of this if need be because *** ********* gave me a copy of my prescription. Also He told me that He was not completley convinced that I have glacoma and that I needed the eye drops that were prescribed to me by *** ******* and wanted to see me back again in Feburary to see if I needed to come off them . *** ******* told me if I did not use the eye drops I would go blind. *** ********* also showed me picture that he had taken over eleven years of my eyes since he had been my eye doctor. It was my mistake for going to see this other *** because it was closer sinced I had moved. But I will not be going back there again and am going to stay with Dr ********* in ********** They just did not want to listen to me at the Family Eye Center and keep dismissing what I was saying like I was just trying to be diffcult. They even told me I was seeing 50/60 with my old precscription and was now I see 20/25 with the new prescripton that was given to me with the new glasses. But I was not and I don't know how they can claim they can see what I see or don't see better than what I can. Now I am going to have to pay out of my own pocket for the examine I had done at ******************** because the insurance coverage was already used at Family Eye Center in ********** A friend of mine asked me how was my experience there. After I told her about it she said she would not be going there either.
