I took my daughter March 17th for a nose piercing. She was really excited about it. I had never been to this business before, but it seemed clean when we arrived and they seemed friendly. She had the piercing done there. A few days later, she was still having a lot of pain, so we had it looked at by another piercer. He was appalled that the size of the post used and the back used were too small and the piercing had already embedded into her nose. He didnt think he would even be able to remove it from her nose because it was so bad. We thought she would have to have it surgically removed. But thankfully, he was able to remove it. He said that she had this issue because of the incorrect size of the jewelry. It was all very upsetting for my daughter and our family. She did take care of it and keep it clean. We had bought the cleansing products recommended after leaving. I went back to Red Nova to tell them what happened and to ask for a refund. They were very reluctant to refund me anything and very unsympathetic to what happened to my daughter. They did give us a partial refund of $50.00, but I would like a full refund of the $116.00 that we paid because we paid for a service that was not done correctly. She was not able to wear the piercing, and her health was jeopardized. Im thankful that she has healed now after having it removed, but I would like an apology and a full refund.

Attached is the receipt that states our refund policy. The receipt shows this client did NOT purchase the aftercare that we suggest. Our website we state our refund policy. "All sales are final once body jewelry has been put into the body. This is standard practice at ALL professional piercing businesses. The reason for this is that there is no way to FULLY ensure safe wearing on a piece that has been exposed to human body fluids. I Attached the consent from that includes detailed aftercare information as well as the inherent risks, associated with getting a piercing. We go over aftercare verbally before the piercing is performed. Response to review. "Hey ********, Im sorry your daughter had this experience. It is imperative that aftercare is followed, using dial soap on a fresh piercing is not recommended. Imbedding can unfortunately be the result of improper aftercare. The type of jewelry we choose to use for fresh nostril piercings is called a flat back labret and is quite popular among professional piercers. Im sorry you felt the need to write 4 one star reviews to be heard. Even after receiving a refund for the service fee. I will be sure to go over proper after care even more throughly then we already do with future clients." I got a total of 4 one star revies and was threatened with 10 one star reviews on our ****** page. The service was done correctly as I ****** many clients using this style jewelry with the same length with no issues. If instead of going to a different piercer who uses outdated piercing practices and jewelry. She could have come back to us and we could have actually saved this piercing by simply putting in a longer labret post, and going over proper aftercare again. We carry sizes from 7/32-1/2" So again I am sorry her daughter had this experience but I believe we at Red Nova have done everything in our power to provide a safe, sterile piercing, as well as inform the client of all risks involved with getting a new piercing.
