      Our kitchen remodel with ****** ****** owner of Meliora House of Design, began 8/24. Cabinets were NOT what we ordered; were NOT new or boxed; (delivered in back of her sons PU truck) are NOT factory painted; several shades of green, yellow streaks, flat paint, chipped paint missing some handles and a drawer. She finally admitted her son broke the first drawer and ****** lost the second one. Measurements were not right as were fillers. Invoice was paid in full before delivery and no money owed. All the Sub Contractors have been paid by us and no money owed. Requested refund after consult with attorney. she offered $2K for sand and repaint but several professionals (Two general contractors and several professional painters said these are thermafoil cabinets and cannot be repainted. We now have to buy new cabinets. After requesting a refund she felt it unreasonable and sent another invoice for an additional $5900 for free stuff we havent paid for. We knew nothing about this free stuff until her invoice which came 1/29/25. The charges were over inflated. $551 for a trash can that ***** has for $50-$80. 32 hours of design time, meeting me at Lowes twice at $100/hr which she never told me beforehand. This experience has been extremely stressful from the beginning. Because its been up in the air for many months I have not been able to get my kitchen back. Not only do we have to buy new cabinets but have to pay to have our quartz counters removed and reinstalled along with the plumbing and appliances moved out again. If anyone is considering Meliora House of Design for their remodel I would think twice and maybe run in the other direction. I have a video and prints of these cabinets if anyone is interested. We have known ****** ****** for 34 years so decided to give her our business but guess we really didnt know her as well as we thought.

      You have made several inaccurate statements regarding your kitchen project with Meliora. While we always strive to resolve concerns amicably, we cannot allow falsehoods to misrepresent the facts or damage our reputation. To clarify: You paid $8,000 for your kitchen, a fraction of the industry average of $30,000. Kitchens at this price point do not exist in ************************************************* good faith, Meliora covered half the cost of your project because we wanted to help you get a new kitchen and the owner babysat for you as a youth. The "free" items included 14 roll-out trays, each valued at $150. They are NOT free and you have never paid for them. The dates we met with you are as follows:5/2/24, 5/9/24, 6/5/24, 6/12/24, 7/8/24, 7/22/24, 8/2/24, 8/20/24, 9/5/24, 11/4/24, 11/11/24 for a total of 32 hours. There is no such thing as a pull-out trash can in a cabinet for $32any reasonable party would acknowledge this. While the paint finish was not optimal, we offered to have it professionally repainted, and you declined. Additionally, we offered you $2,000 to have it painted by a provider of your choice, which you also refused. Your claim that the cabinetry is made of thermofoil is entirely false. Meliora does not work with any cabinet company that sells thermofoil cabinets and does not even have a source to purchase such material. The cabinets you received are solid plywood box construction. It is evident that you are not seeking solutions but rather financial gain at our expense. Your continued misrepresentations and refusal to engage in reasonable resolutions indicate an attempt to exploit our goodwill. We remain open to ethical and fair discussions but will not tolerate deceit or manipulation. Should this behavior persist, we will take all necessary steps to protect our companys integrity, including legal recourse.

      We entered into an agreement with ****** ****** of Meliora Design to manage a kitchen remodeling project. She did not deliver the cabinets per agreed upon design and abandoned the project midway through when we tried to get her to complete the project as per specification and in a timely manner. She has not paid her subcontractor despite billing us for his work and us paying that invoice in full and is now telling that sub to file a lien against our property.

      We have discontinued services at this address due to non payment. The customer has not paid **********************, nor paid the subs. The job will not be completed because this customer has a history of not paying bills. They want a hood delivered they have not paid for. This is a great example. Many items we did prepayment, however we will not continue to give away time and items to this customer for them to continue not to pay. The customer has not paid for our time, our services or our product. We have placed a lien on the property.
