I called roto rooter for a leak on an outside spicket..when they arrived they quoted me ******, told them i could not pay that much then he came up with a 400 00 price. Not knowing what needed to be done i agreed. Feeling uneasy about the pricing , i watched them remove the top of my spicket put in some parts out of a bag of parts a d job done..took all of 10 mins . I feel cheated by roto roter and think they have taken advantage of this situation. *** voiced my thoughts but no response *****************************

If it had no stars this is what they deserve! RIP OFF!! Quoted me one thing & ran my card for over $1000!! 15 min fix to apply a female fitting onto a pipe! I was told one fee and after the 15 min job I was charged over $1000 Unauthorized!! I disputed the *********** I signed a waiver they took what they wanted! Due a ladder being needed I was charged $800?? DO NOT TRUST THEM! I ended up with a $500 bill and my $ taken in the end- the part is $2 at ****** btw! You do the math! They have ppl on ******** recruiting ppl that need handy men so the add said then I was transferred to Roto Rooter

Overcharged, RIP-OFF, Theft I don't recommend Roto-*****************************, in fact I warn you to stay away from them.I had a leaking pipe in my house basement which was easily accessible. After a half done inspection, they informed me that I had to replace the main shut off water valve and the water pressure reducing valve. They charged me $2,500.00 for less than 5ft x 3/4" PEX pipe/tubing , 3/4" main water shut off valve , 3/4" water pressure reducing valve and a minimal amount of hand digging through soft mud. This job was done in 2 hours. Again, $2,500 for this fix. Absolute theft and an embarrassment to plumbing work. After repeated requests, to their reluctance, I received a long invoice which utilized big words, which were both unnecessary and misleading terms. I feel robbed by this company and hope that many others see this review and are able to save themselves from a similar situation to what happened to me.

I called them out to snake a drain. Almost $700 later the drain still is a problem nothing was ever fixed. They wanted to do a cleanup following and dry out the bathrooms. They were then here an additional 2 hours. All they did was drop some fans and cut into perfectly good drywall. I told them there was no water damage they should not be cutting into any flooring or walls. I said they were no longer interested get out I will find someone else. At that point I knew I was being scammed there wasn't any water damage just a backed up toilet. It was a scam to run up a high bill and bill it to my insurance company. The bill was $3500 to cut my walls and drop some fans off. BE CAREFUL they are a scam! Its an insurance scam not a cleanup.

Never, never will I use RotoRooter again. My problem was really bad-smelling water. So, they sent a guy out, he listened to my problem, looked at my set-up, and decided he needed to change out a filter. He didn't have one on his truck, so he went to Hickory to get one. (About a ***** min drive.) Came back and switched the filter. This took about ten minutes and was so easy that he showed me how to do it. (Me, a 71-year-old woman) I will give him this...he did leave me an extra ************, here's the kicker. The bill was over $600!!! And I couldn't get an itemized invoice. They "just don't do that".And my water still stinks!
