    We hired Shield to repair and replace rotten deck boards, siding and trim and to paint our home. We didn't realize we would have to micromanage each step and have to get the owner involved, down to pointing out they put the shutters on upside down and where they missed painting and siding. It was incredibly stressful; the most we have experienced with any company we have hired in the past 30 years in this home. In retrospect, the source of most of the issues we had was the quote. All the boards that needed to be replaced should have been marked. More rotten boards were found during the process, and we agreed to pay extra for those; however, since finishing the project, we found boards that are still rotten that they simply painted over without telling us. They also replaced boards by the roofline, placing the boards directly on the roof, which is causing us problems and it now may cost us more when we put on a new roof. They did repaint a door for us, and paid for the plants they destroyed, and the owner took over the decking project, which we appreciated.

    Shield Roofing did an OUTSTANDING job on my house. The owner **** went out of his way to keep me informed of the job. He is honest and caring about the work. His crew cannot be beat.You cannot get any better than Shield Roofing!
