4,800$ paid to demo the shower and re tile. The shower is not complete. They tore off the drywall from the ceiling. They stole the shower handle and tiled around the valve so I cant install a new handle. The work looks worse than it did before. The owner, Tyler, will not call me back or repair it.

    Business Response

The homeowner hired their own plumber to remove and replace ALL plumbing including the mixing valve. Tyler The Tiler was only hired to demolish the old tile shower and install the new one. Tyler The Tiler never engaged in any plumbing as they are not licensed to do so. Tyler The Tiler secured someone to fix the ceiling as yes, Tyler The Tiler did make a mistake. The cost of repair was $30 and I gave an additional $150 off the invoice for the mistake. At the time of payment homeowner did not bring any other tile issues to his attention. Tyler The Tiler would have been happy to help. Customer did ask about chips along the cut pieces and Tyler The Tiler explained to her that she went against installers best judgment and purchased the cheapest tile available which tends to chip when cut. Homeowner was made aware of this before installation and during installation as numerous tiles were returned/exchanged due to chips/imperfections throughout the tiling process. Several days after invoice was paid homeowner demanded that Tyler The Tiler tear-out a tile so the plumber could access the mixing valve. Tyler The Tiler is not responsible for plumbing and offered to do the work at a discounted rate of $50 to cover fuel costs. Homeowner was still not satisfied and demanded it be free. Tyler The Tiler tried to work with the customer until customer became hostile and began writing misleading reviews in various wed locations. As stated in the bill homeowner paid, “Tyler The Tiler is not responsible for ANY and ALL plumbing”.
