    No warranty if you plant yourself, and if they plant for you, they will give you 50% off your next purchase to replace the dead plant. Also, if you pay for installation once, guess again you have to pay again to have them come replace the plants that you again have to purchase too. Scam!

    Here is our warranty, clearly spelled out to all customers on their receipt, and posted throughout our business:

     

    we will provide a 1-************ Warranty from the date of purchase. We will replace any tree or shrub 2 gallons or larger, installed by us for 50% OF THE PURCHASE PRICE. (Labor for the reinstallation is provided at one half the cost of the warranty material). Dearness Gardens will only replace a warranted plant once. This warranty excludes damage/death of plants due to ice, snow, wind, hail, and lightning; extreme heat, drought, and cold; unusual early or late frosts/freezes; mechanical damage; pest infestations; and wildlife/pet damage. Also excluded from our warranty are plants purchased at a discount (certain exclusions apply-see manager for details) and plants that are not installed in the ground (i.e. shrubs planted in urns, etc.). Annuals, perennials, and herbs are also excluded from the warranty.

     

    We went the extra mile and split the warranty with the customer, he only paid 25% of the plant cost even though he clearly killed his plants through negligence (did not water them)
