  First of all, they deserve a 0-star review, but you're forced to select at least 1 star. Spangler is a ********************* Our upstairs bathroom flooded, and water came through the ceiling. We never communicated with them, yet they showed up at our door the very next morning. We called the fire department the night the incident occurred to ensure that it was safe to restore power to our house. Our assumption is that they monitored emergency radio. We allowed them to assess the damage and Spangler said that they would take care of everything (mitigation and restoration) with our insurance and that we didn't need to worry about anything else. Spangler completed the mitigation, and everything went downhill from there. Our insurance allotted enough money to cover mitigation and restoration costs, but Spangler refused to do the restoration stating that our insurance did not give enough to cover the costs. We were forced to complete the restoration ourselves. Spangler's communication is horrible as well and they make it VERY DIFFICULT to pay just to be done with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!

  An improperly installed dishwasher flooded under our hardwood floors. We called our insurance company and Spangler Restoration responded promptly and handled the mitigation. That was the end of anything positive from them.Yesterday we were informed that Spangler is withdrawing from completing our restoration.Spangler has delayed for over eight months and driven up the cost of this project needlessly.They, and their subcontractors, have caused significant damage.They broke our granite countertop, damaging the wall and breaking the windowsill. They broke all of the cabinets they removed. They broke wood molding in our dining room and damaged baseboards throughout the first floor. These items are not repaired/replaced yet. None of this costly damage is included on their invoice! This is in addition to having installed and finished hardwood flooring incorrectly.Entire floor has to be replaced.Spangler came into our home, provided us with a contract to complete the repairs, and almost nine months later are leaving, with no work completed and a huge mess. Their lack of professionalism and accountability astounds me.

  This company does not know the first thing about mold remediation. They don't actually test for mold, the use a humidifier. They also do not remediate. They left my bathroom and hallway full of mold, and told me there was no more in the home. When they ripped up flooring and sheetrock, the area was not contained as it should have been, leaving spores floating throughout the rest of the home. I would avoid this company at all costs!!!!

  I'm a Maintenance Manager for an apartment community and Spangler Restoration has done several jobs for me. They are always professional, efficient, and do a great job. I would happily recommend their services.

  Our kitchen floor was damaged from a leak in the water line to the icemaker. ************ recommended Spangler. I called and they came out...all nice, kind, thoughtful.....2 months later....a disaster. (They did waive our deductible and replaced the stove they broke)Spangler laid the flooring in the wrong direction!!When trying to fix this they tried to use the flooring that had been laid the wrong way but of course it was damaged. They ordered more but still used a lot of damaged flooring when laying it in the right direction. Now I have a horrible floor.... Oh...and don't contact Josh **************************** owner...he was no help when I emailed my concerns. It gets worse. The flooring under the damaged floor has asbestos in it. They contracted a company to remove this before starting the job.*********** that was contracted to remove asbestos sealed off the kitchen on the day that they were to remove the old asbestos ridden floor. They tried removing it for about half an hour. Then we heard saws-they were cutting out the floor without telling us.. *********** had called Spangler and said the flooring with asbestos in it would not come up. Spangler, told them to cut out the floor. While they were cutting out the floor the plastic they were using to seal off the kitchen had holes in it and sawdust and whatever dust started leaking into the house- dangerous. Spangler folks always said to call them if there was a problem so we called them and they came out and the crew sealed the holes. We had also said that none of the floor cutting crew were masked up....Spangler asked them to mask up- they were not happy . Later THAT DAY our AC heat pump failed. I ended up getting a new heat pump and air handler...Thought it was a coincidence. The new heat pump started to fail. Finally my AC guy found a sheet of plastic around a bend in the air return vent very much like the plastic sheeting used to seal the kitchen- I have a picture of it. Sent **** an email - nothing. ...never again.

  Asbestos removal and clean up. Spangler was extremely unprofessional and sneaky. They kept promising us we would have our kitchen and bathroom restored in no time. The day before Thanksgiving, they arrived and removed our kitchen and one of the bathrooms that also had water damage. They left us with holes in both the kitchen and bathroom floors and didn't have any timber or trash bags to cover the holes to keep the critters out (or to keep our little pug from falling through the floor). After much delay and excuses, on December 15, they came back to remove the fans that had supposedly been doing a great job drying out the kitchen. On that day, Spangler restoration was coming over to look at all the damages but never showed up. I kept calling and was then told that they were not moving forward with the project because they got burned many times by our ***************************** and to call **** to get help. Had no Christmas at our home either. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY EVER!! RUN when you hear the word "Spangler"!

  Looks like alot of 1-star reviews.. Here's another! They were on the insurance company's 'good list'. Not good at all. The initial 'restoration' was a PAINT-OVER on the damaged drywall from water intrusion. After I confronted the Operations Mgr about the paint-over and stolen items, they had a smaller renovation company do the restoration work -- this smaller company did an awesome job. Their employees worked hard, were quiet, polite and worked well in teams.They had to hire another smaller, honest restoration company because they can't do any true restoration. Their subcontractor STOLE my wallpaper...necessitating a complete renovation of the room and purchasing new wallpaper. "Don't worry, it won't cost you a *****. **** will pay for all of it." Started out being less than $4,000 project became three times that amount.I caught them doing paint-overs, never removing the damaged drywall and insulation. Their preferred HVAC company didn't know how to reset the air handler...same size air handler in same size cubby and they couldn't make it fit. Left with huge gap in the ceiling and TURNED ON the air conditioning. Discovered condensation leaking from the ceiling and previously damaged drywall falling INTO the air handler. They state the air handler filter could have been cleaned because 'we clean HVACs from fire, water and bio losses' all the time. The wet drywall had become hardened plaster on the filter...not the same type of loss! As a restoration company, you know better than to treat your customers like they are stupid!! I saw drywall debris and dust falling into my air handler!! Their final position is 'no photo evidence' to support claim of air handler damage! So denying all accountability...Left water lines facing upward, uncapped and just turned off the water from water heater...so no hot water in my home! Want insurance check up front then do zero!If you choose to believe "Because Trust Matters", you are very foolish!!If referred to Spangler....RUN!

  Called Spangler twice to obtain information on the method used to clean mold from ducts. Was told someone would call me back. No calls received. Sent a submission via their website and received a response telling me that for service to be done, to schedule through *******************. My request did not ask for any services, but for the cleaning method used and if they are a member of NADCA. No response ever received to determine if I even want to move forward and have my complex schedule the cleaning, since there is mold in the duct work.

  I have worked for multiple property management companies and will always call Spangler! They are quick to get an estimate of work to you and thorough with explaining the cause and solutions. None of my residents have complained of the work done in their homes as Spangler always tries to ensure not to disrupt their home more than necessary while completing repairs.
