    They were very friendly when I signed up, but they get very bureaucratic when you try to cancel in order to keep taking your money. When you do try to cancel, will argue that you are "not eligible" to.I signed up during a special that gave people the first month free if they sign up for a membership, but I insisted on paying for the first month as I expected to leave for boot camp the next month. They understood and agreed...verbally. Everything seemed friendly, but it seems they just wanted my signature.I was charged the first month, but not the second or third month...as expected. However, it turns out they set me up with a long term contract and manually cancelled the payments without contacting me. They started charging me again at the time I was expected to be in boot camp, before my ship date was changed. When I tried to cancel, they denied me and asked me to gather paperwork to prove that I was leaving for military reasons. When I noted it would be easier for me to block payments, they threatened to take me to collections. After giving them a letter from my recruiter, they argued that I failed to give them 30 days notice in writing and would still have to pay. Sign at your own risk.

    Refuse to cancel membership after combat wounded and discharged from service. Still continues to charge me

    Onslow fitness is not like other gyms. Its locally owned and operated and its run with the members in mind. Its a smaller gym but surprisingly enough you wont find yourself waiting for equipment. It is very clean and has a wide range of equipment, classes and weights
