On Feb. 22nd. I hired **** of ***** to replace a leaky water heater in my 2016 Keystone Retreat. He told me I had to pay $1,538.35 for the unit and labor. I paid him the next day. When removing the old unit we realized the furnace unit below was bad due to the leaky water heater. He agreed to replace that as well for another $1,712 plus $80 for new plywood. So I paid him that as well. He claimed to have the water heater, and was waiting on some part for the rest. Each week since then I've asked when it will be completed and I've gotten a "I'm going to work on it this weekend" etc... Nothing has been completed. When I called his wife said he is having health problems and cant complete it. I asked for any products purchased to be given to me and a refund so I can get someone to complete it. She got nasty with me and said I had no compassion. It is now April 2nd. and nothing has been done. I've begged for a refund and they refuse. I'm a single retired teacher on a fixed income. I can't even use the ** because the water is shut off and cant be turned on without the parts back in there. I've tried to deal with them the nice way and now I believe they have just taken and spent my money. This is soooo stressful and I need help please... The money was Venmo to their daughter since they had no way to accept it other than cash on site. Her name is ********* *********.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/11/2025

As stated in the complaint, **** ****** had a medical emergency which made him unable to complete the work in a timely manner. Unfortunately, because of the ongoing medical emergency it has caused memory issues as well as inability to do manual labor for the time being. I made contact with *****, prior to the BBB complaint notification that was delivered by mail, in order to find a suitable settlement. We found an agreeable resolution that resulted in a refund of the amount outlined in a signed Accord and Satisfaction Agreement as well as parts left in her custody that were purchased for the specific job. We both agreed that the remainder of the amount was deducted from the parts left with her and the service fee for time worked. I did explain to ***** that the issue with the first refund request was not that it was already spent, but that nobody had access to ****** records or accounts to follow through with the refund request when it was initially requested.

Hi,my name is *****************************, and I need to file a complaint against a company named D&D mobile RV service **********************************************************************************************. Phone number ************ or ************* I contacted ************************ because I had leaks in a RV I just purchased my roof was leaking and the window, he came over I felt confident but then he said he was going to paint it and it just rained and I had a bad feeling about it well that was in January 2024 now my roof and window are leaking. It ruin the wall in my bedroom and I had to get it redone for $2800.00 this Contractor said they were holes up there. He had to put new plywood and different things that **** did not do the job right he just went over it with a roller like I couldve done myself. **** had charge me $2500.00 I feel he did a very careless job. He just went up and painted the roof took four hours then it rained kind of dribble down onto the side of the trailer so I didnt have a good feeling about it I had him do other jobs like hang a TV and it was hanging off the wall. He never came back when I called till two days later I had a toilet that was to be fixed. He never contacted me, so I never called him back due to his Lack of professionalism. I did contact him about reimbursement and he said he would call me back but he never did.I am also going to enclose the pictures before when he did it and now that it is re-done hopefully I can get some resolution to this.I have enclosed photos of what the roof look like before then after he put a coat of paint on it and then the after picture of the new contractor showing how it should have been done there were actually big holes and different things that needed to be fixed and shows how he just slapped a coat of paint on and didnt address the problem. Thank you very much.
