    I purchased a Barn Quilt (artwork) from Barn Quilt Headquarters on December 2. Before I purchased, I asked if it could be delivered in time for Christmas. I was assured if I purchased "ASAP" it would be delivered in time for Christmas. I ordered minutes later. Later that day a **** shipping label had been created and was told it would be shipped in 2-3 business days. On December 7, the item hadn't shipped. I reached out to *** again. I asked why it hadn't shipped and said if it hadn't shipped yet, I would like to cancel my order, as it is a Christmas gift and I was concerned about it not arriving. *** then gave my info to the artist and said she would have the artist contact me. The artist then told me that the item I purchased was not available when I purchased it. It had been sold and never removed from the *** website. She had painted a new item and that was why there was a delay. This was never expressed to me by ***. I was never given the option of canceling my order or choosing a different item that could be shipped in a timely manner. The item was eventually shipped December 9 via ****. It last scanned after leaving the ***************, ** post office. I paid $140 for the artwork and $50 in shipping. They only insured the item for $100. I have contacted *** MULTIPLE times. They have not offered to make this right or refund any of my money. They told me to take it up with ****, but still, the item wasn't fully insured. I have copies of all of the correspondences between myself, the business, and the artist.

    The customer failed to provide valuable information to you.

    Please find attached the customer invoice which plainly states "all sales are final".  We are a commission custom art provider and once we produce an item (which the customer did receive), we do not issue refunds.

    Secondly, the item states "allow 7-10 business days for shipping" in the description.

     I am rejecting this response because:
    As you can see from the documents I had already submitted, on December 2 BQH said "This item will ship in 2-3 business days" in response to my query of if the item would arrive by Christmas.  The item did finally arrive.  However it was ONE WEEK after Christmas.  The item was delayed ONE WEEK due to the website not being updated and the item I purchased no longer being for sale.  The artist had to recreate the item that was presented for sale on the website and was sold to me, and had promised would be shipped in 2-3 business days.  No mention of this delay was ever made by ***.  Furthermore, in addition to these deceitful business practices the customer service has been horrendous, causing much stress to the customer over the course of the holiday season, continuing to this day.  Before I received the item I was even referred to as a "*****" simply for wanting what I paid for.  At the time that this complaint was made I had not yet received my items. As stated above, the item did finally turn up.  I am hoping the BBB makes other buyers aware of the type of service they can expect when dealing with BQH.  I attached the updated communication log between myself and the business.
