    On March 11, 2023 ***************** from Blackout Construction Inc. (Business/Tax ID: *********** gave us an estimate/contract for repairing, caulking and painting the siding on our home. There was also a verbal agreement to remove carpet from our master bedroom and replace with hardwood floors. On March 13, 2023 we wrote him a check for 50% deposit of the work mentioned above. This was a personal check #*** for the amount of $2,650.00. He had a crew come and caulk around the windows and sides (they did not complete the caulking work) but when asked about when the siding work would start there were multiple dates stating when they would come out to complete the work but no one showed up on those dates. After months of waiting for this work to start I spoke to ************** on the phone and stated I would like to cancel the purposed work due to the lack of showing up and would like my deposit, minus the minimal caulking that was done, returned to me. He stated he would contact the crew who completed the work and would take that money out of the deposit and return the rest to me. That has been over two weeks ago and I have not received my deposit money back nor will he answer/return multiple texts or phone calls we have made concerning this matter.
