    ***** ******** is an upholsterer who currently lived in ********** NC. I assume the Wilmington address is a former address. On the recommendation of an acquaintance, I got an estimate, via text, from ***** to recover a leather pub chair and ottoman. I had sent him a photo of the pieces. The total quote for the job he texted back to me was $625. On February 21, he said he could get to my job the first of May, maybe sooner. He picked up the pieces in early May. I followed up in June. Beginning June 24, he promised time and time again to have the pieces finished and back to me "by the weekend" and "tomorrow". As it turns out, near the end, he was struggling to make buttons in leather for tufting so I accepted the pieces with no tufting. After I pressured him almost daily to get the job finished, he finally delivered the pieces on September 2. The pieces are just fine, albeit with no tufting, but at delivery, he demanded $975 instead of the $625 he quoted. Four months later, with no tufting, I paid $350 more than the quoted price. I'm very sorry now that I let him bully me into writing that check. I should have paid him no more than the quoted price. The word that comes to mind: dishonorable.
