Ever since I purchased my first home in October of 2020 H2GO has been my only option for water. My home has its own personal septic tank located in my back yard. After a year or so I was reviewing my water bill and I noticed I pay for water and a separate charge for sewer. I called and asked what this meant and the told me they installed septic tanks in the front yard of each house in my neighborhood and that their septic tanks are connected to the sewer lines. Now everyone else in the neighborhood has visible septic tank lids in their front yards except for me. I called back and was given a number to the contractor who watched over the instigation. He told me he remembered that the original home owner made them remove the septic because he didnt want to pay for it. After I learned that I spoke with the person in charge of finances at H2GO and he refused to refund me or to remove charges from future bills due to the fact that I could connect to the sewer without them knowing. Now in their customer agreement I can be fined if I alter or tamper with any of their equipment or property without their permission. Why penalize me over a hypothetical? The sewage charge is roughly $30-$40 each month depending on water usage. The sewage charge is always more than the charge for water. Also to top it off I have to pay for my septic tank to be cleaned while everyone else gets theirs cleaned for free and we all pay the same rates in water and in waste, yet my waste goes back into my own yard. I havent found a lawyer for this but charging for a service they are not providing me cannot be legal.
