    I inquired about purchasing a used engine from U Pull Lincolnton on 10-26-23. I was assured more than once that the motor was of good running condition and also that if I had any issues whatsoever there was a 90 day warranty on all used engines. I travelled from ********* on Monday 10-30-23 to pick up the motor. When I arrived I was again assured that if I had any issues I would be able to return under warranty. Upon initially seeing the engine I noticed mud on it, I was again assured it was 100% good and reminded of warranty. Once I arrived back home I started to inspect the motor. I was doing routine maintenance (headgasket, seals, oil change, etc.) and noticed mud and soot inside the cylinder head and valves. After removing the cylinder head I discovered there was mud, standing water, and soot inside all 4 cylinders. I immediately called U Pull Lincolnton and expressed that I would like a refund or exchange due to the poor condition and non running quality of the engine. I was then told they will not honor the warranty they had sold me on simply because I inspected the engine instead of risking installing the destroyed motor they sold me. They would not even listen to what I had to say or allow me to send pictures of the damage. I have checked the receipt and website and no where does it say customers arent allowed to inspect or do maintenance on a purchased engine. I believe I am not the first or last person they have pulled stuff like this with, there are countless reviews of them doing bad business.
