My husband took his Mastercraft boat to ************************* for our motor to be repaired. He said he could get a new crate motor for $5,000. Therefore, my husband said sure we will do that. The boat was delivered to them in April 2022. He started looking a motor. He called my husband and said that he found one and if he would bring him the money, he would go to SC to pick it up and it would only take 3 weeks to get it back. Then, ******************** called my husband to tell him that he could also get the upholstery done for $5,000, so he told them to do it. Mr. ***** said that will take about another couple of weeks. I ordered all the vinyl for the seats and my husband took it to them along with the $5,000 for the new crate motor on May 18, 2022. ( The receipts says cash for new 5.7 crate motor 3 year warranty signed by *************************. Then, on May 23, 2022. Mr. ****** called us to let us know that it would take $12,000 to complete the whole boat. So on our way to ************************** in ********* we stopped and finished paying for the boat repair on May 23, 2022 with $5,000 in cash and $2,000 in check. ( on the receipt it says ********* written by ***. Then my husband got a call from Mr. ****** asking for another $3,000 for the upholstery work. We went by on another trip to ************************** to pay a check for the $3,000 on May 31, 2022. We were stopping by asking why the boat was not being worked on. They lied about a lot of things of where the motor was and the seats. My husband paid Mr. ****** another $2,800 on October 28,2022 because he said he needed more money for the upholstery and the new gages for the boat. We have been stopping by and listening to their lies with no result. They did not have a crate motor, so they sent our motor off to have someone else rebuild it. (We had already had it rebuilt one time before). My husband was dying and I told them this and last summer would be his last summer. We have not boat. He passed 12/27/23.

This is continuing from the prior complaint. I would like ******** Automotive & Boat Service to make good on their work. We have not gotten a new crate motor but our receipts says it is for that and a 3 year warranty. I would like them to reimburse the difference from a new motor and a rebuilt motor. It has taken two ******* that my family and husband could have enjoyed his boat before he died. I kept telling them I needed the boat due to this. Now he is gone and they still have the boat. They said it would only take a couple of months and that has not been the case. They have lied at every twist and turn. I had asked for pictures of the upholstery and the crate motor but never got them. They said they were locked up in a storage area. I thought that seats were done but they had never been started until November 2023. The rebuilt motor is in the boat but ******** Automotive & Boat Service has not paid for the upholstery so he will not release it to be put back in the boat for us to get it. Please help me with this matter. I complained a lot while my husband was alive but he did not want to make anyone mad and them miss up his boat. He finally did tell Mr. ****** that he would have ******* locked up if they did not get this straight. He had had enough as well. Now my husband is gone and he lost the last two ******* waiting on his boat trying to be easy to get along with. Well, enough is enough. I feel they should finish a job. I have seen too many boats come and go and ours is still there. Please help me with this issue. *****' ****
