They hurt my labradoodle today. ***** has curly hair and we were aware he had some knots in his fur today but we had bought the tools and conditioning treatment per ******** recommendation, who is the owner, and he looked so good. He was long and fluffy and he was pain free when we dropped him off. After his grooming today, he was shaven uneven all over and they claimed he was matted to the skin but he was not when we dropped him off. They pulled on his ears until they caused hematomas and they were bleeding when we picked him up. No one ever called to let me know he was in that kind of shape. Im not sure what they washed him with or dried him with but I believe someone was inexperienced or didnt want to work on his thick coat, and they just opted to shave him. That was wrong and they could have called me. I would have done it myself but hurting his ears and pulling on them making them bleed was inhumane. ***** was not in that kind of shape to have been treated the way he was. They laughed in our face when we picked him up like it was all funny. He had some purple band around his head because he was shaking his head viciously and continuously from the pain. At 11:50 tonight he is still shaking his head. His ears are swollen but they were not when we dropped him off. The owner told me over the phone later when I called back that they were hematomas. He didnt have those when we dropped him off. ***** was happy and healthy and he was beautiful! Doodles are a lot of work and groomers are tired of their curly and unruly hair but when you are being paid and have the option to do the job or not, just dont do it if you dont want to be kind or take the time to treat an animal the way you should. His coat will grow and hes still the sweet boy hes always been. I pray his ears heal completely but no one will ever do to him or put him through what ***************** did today and with no remorse or apology whatsoever. Nothing LUCKY!!! What is this world coming to?!
