In Aug., I contacted ****** *************************** for services related to a conversion of a laundry room. The project scope was to add a wash tub to an existing laundry room. The services requested of ****** Pump was to install water & drain lines (spliced from the existing water and drain already present in the room). On Sept. 4th, the service date was scheduled for 9/9. Later, a phone conversation occurred in which additional details were provided, that included a request to have 2 separate visits; 1 to run the lines and another to install the cabinet/attach lines. The reason for the 2 visit request was the understanding that drywall would need to be repaired prior to the cabinet being attached to the wall. ****** Pump arrived at my residence on 9/9 at approximately 1:30pm. Upon arrival, I reiterated to the employees that the wall was not finished. At no point did I request to have the cabinet attached to an unfinished wall with holes in the drywall. Furthermore, I did not request to have the cabinet assembled. The service that was provided lasted for 4 hours, in which they assembled the cabinet, cut the drywall, installed the ************* lines (water lines are not level) and then attached the cabinet to the wall which straddled existing holes in the drywall. Upon seeing the completed work I was shocked and asked for an invoice, in which it was stated it would be mailed. Days later, invoice was received. I immediately contacted them, acknowledged the invoice ($480 for labor) & asked to discuss. No response. I made two additional phone calls, no response. On 11/2, I made a payment that covered the parts & tax costs. On the morning of 11/8, I finally had a verbal discussion in which it was stated "we have other customers" and that they would be taking me to court for non-payment. I advised them I had no issue paying for the labor but I wanted to find a resolution to accommodate the poor service and the additional costs incurred to repair the drywall.
